they got sloppy for a bit in the 2nd, they looked awesome the rest of the game though, cure those small lapses and BOOM! We are the force!

I want them to keep gaining confidence, Fuck with the brutal hitting the Ducks dished out I didn't think we could hang, we percivered and showed a ton of heart, that's what wins championships..

yep, definitely a big win.. wish they could play again before wednesday.. these breaks are killing me!

atleast we play the pens on thursday.. definitely taking off work a little early for that one.. fuck the pens.

Three stars:

1. Montee Ball. 130 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Two scores away from setting the NCAA record for touchdowns in a season. He even threw for 30 yards or so.

2. Russel Wilson. Started out the game poorly but came on strong in the second half. Made the pass rush miss and threw up a prayer on 4th and 6 that set up the game winning score.

3. Turnovers. No fumbles or interceptions thrown, one fumble and one interception recovered. That's the difference in this game right there.


Goats:

1. Run defense. Bell ran all over us today. If MSU hadn't abandoned the run to pass, they'd have this game no issue.

2. 3rd down defense. For most teams, if you can hold a team to 3rd and 5 or more, you've got a good chance at stopping them. For the Badgers, 3rd and anything less than 12 is not good enough, because Cousins was picking us apart. And how about covering the crossing route through the middle? Time and time again there was so much space that I could have converted.

3. Offensive playcalling. Montee Ball runs for 100 yards and two scores in the first quarter alone, so logically the correct decision is to pretty much abandon the run and start throwing in the second, amirite? (Spoiler: that is not the correct decision). And hey, we get the ball with a three point lead with three minutes to play and a single first down lets us run out the clock, so let's run the ball right at their defense three times and not even pretend to run a sweep or a play action. Because they'd NEVER believe we'd call the same play three times in a row, amirite? (Spoiler: no, calling the run up the gut play three times running against one of the best defenses in the country is not a good idea even if you are trying to run out the clock).

Honorable goat mention: Kick/punt coverage. It's a good thing they ran into the kicker when we punted with 2 minutes to play because if they hadn't, they returned the ball 65 yards to the 4 yard line.


But hey, all's well that ends well. ONTO THE ROSE BOWL, BADGERS.
