Thats a weird flex considering that the only team that knocked Brady out for a season was the Chiefs.

Although it seemed like he was already hurt before the Pollard hit
Not a weird flex at all. Mahomes is Charmin toilet paper soft. He limps every time he gets touched. He’s perfect in today’s “hands off” NFL, though.

That’s true. Mahomes gets them for guys being within 5 yards of him, though.
According to data, Mahomes gets a roughing the passer roughly 1 every 5 games. Brady throughout his career is surprisingly only 1 ever 6 games. Josh Allen is about 1 every 3 games. Goff, Cousins, Tannehill, and Herbert 1 every 4 games.

So maybe Brady isnt constantly getting the calls but I wouldn't use Mahomes as the measuring stick for a QB who does

This can't be right. Dallas has only won 4 playoff games in the last 27 years.
Notre Dame has 11 national titles, good enough for top 2 or 3 all time. Yet they haven’t won one since 1988.

Stands to reason that a more mobile QB is going to have fewer calls, provided they get rid of the ball

Seems like its mostly the opposite. Mobile QBs get hit more. RG3 was up there near the top.

Times have changed. Nobody even TRIES to hit Mahomes(or most QB’s) anymore. They know that they will get flagged if they do. It was different when Brady first arrived. You know this, though(unless you are under 20 years old).

If you're talking about a RUNNING QB, like Hurts or Lamar or Kyler, then yes, they will get HIT a lot. But does that translate into more roughing penalties? This might be worth a deeper dive for some stat-head.

In my mind, I'm seeing a lot of guys getting crunched in the pocket or just after they release the ball being the majority of roughing calls, but I could be wrong

This is definitely true.

Although players are bigger now for the most part while still being just as fast. And teams probably didnt try to go after Brady too often the first few years because they wanted to stop the run. Even the era Brady was in had already seen some changes from the era that came before it in terms of what QBs had to go through.

I think you picked the wrong guy. Hasn't he continued to play multiple times after being injured? I don't think a reasonable person could watch that replay from the Jags game and question whether it was a legit injury

He's also the same guy who Andy Reid and staff had to force off, and keep off, the field after his kneecap was in his calf in 2019. Same guy who played on turf toe in the 2020-21 Divisional, AFCCG, and SB.

Didn't the league change the rules after TB12 injured his knee? He's the poster boy for "hands off" QB's. Not Mahomes.

Before 2020, Brady was a legend among legends. His 28-3 comeback in Super Bowl 50 cemented that legend among legend status.

But then he goes to Tampa. And in his first year he makes the playoffs ..beats Brees, beats Rodgers, goes to the SB and beats Mahomes.

The category Brady belongs in has not been invented yet.

.

There's no question TB12's the GOAT of QB's.

But if I had one game to win I'm not going with him. I'm going with Montana.
