Amongst the general public, Lebron's likeability goes up and down all the time.
But, Lebron is beloved by his fellow players and peers.

Kobe never really had any friends during the peak competitive years.
Shaq was the life of the party hanging out with the team. Kobe would go home by himself and shoot baskets.

Yes, Kobe softened in his later years...and a lot of players praised him last night.
But, no player wanted to play with him. He was something of a hyper focused ass.
Jordan was similar as well. Both guys had standards that made it uncomfortable for other players.

Meanwhile, every player loves Lebron.
Guys want to be in the Lebron circle. Players will conspire to join up with him on teams.

Yup, a lot of pussies didn't.

That super quick release and ball handling allows him to put up so many shots. I don't know if any of the other great 3-point shooters had that. And obviously, Curry's pretty accurate, too. It's to the point that defenses can really do much except hope that he misses or overplay the 3-point shot so much that they leave themselves very vulnerable to drives, pull-ups, and dishes inside.

Saw an interesting stat today. (just read it on another site ... assume it was true)

Before yesterday, there were 3 players with season shooting percentages of greater than 50-45-90. (FG, 3, FTs)

All were named Steve. (Kerr, Novak, Nash)

Yesterday, the group was joined by Stephen C.

If you want to raise a shooter -- you know what to name him.

LOL. You definitely have to name a future shooter Steve or Stephen. The difference with Curry over the other guys is the volume. Without looking it up, my guess would be that Curry made more than 3 times as many threes as Nash or Kerr's best seasons. I think it's that release, quickness and ball handling that's the big factor, because it allows him to create space and get his shot off very quickly that even big men who are stretching to block his shot can't stop it.

Okay, I had to look it up. I was off on Nash. He had a season where he made 179 threes, so Curry this season only slightly more than doubled (2.25 times more) Nash's best season. Kerr's best season was 122 made threes, which Curry more than tripled.

Yet in his own words LBJ has said he tried to simulate Kobe in many ways. Funny how things turn out, eh?

Forget about Utah.

With that core, a solid vet addition and the right Coach, Minny will be a playoff Team in 2 years or less.

KAT is a beast.

@Win TWINS!!! You have to be excited about the Post Klove future.

Hellz ya! :suds:

Add in another high pick this year.

Sounds like KG will be back.... not sure that excites me

and I think they shut Pek down, just to save him... so :noidea:

BUT! It's all gonna come down to the coach, and it's hard to formulate an opinion around that.

My son is 19. I wonder if it's too late to change his name?

I have a son a little older ... nice bball player. My first thought wasn't "is it too late to change his name" ... it was "can I change my name?"

Hadn't thought of that.

You might be on to something.

Rumors are the Kings have decide to make a big push to re-sign Stephen Rondo this summer.

Why would he stay in that Shit show?

Oh yeah, money....lol

I have to believe he will get some OTHER high dollar/ short year offers.

Mecca,

I was trying to make a joke -- suggesting they would be more aggressive to sign him if his first name was Stephen.

Barkley's a very stubborn man. He took the same approach with the Heat during the Big 3 era. Said they would never win a championship. Then said they wouldn't repeat. History will confirm that he was wrong.

Same with the last Spurs title. He had them losing in every single round. Every. Single. Round.

Sir Charles may have just guaranteed a Golden State championship.

The only time he bothered to pick the Spurs was once they were up 3-1 versus Miami.

And then suddenly I became terrified that they would choke away the 3-1 lead......a Charles prediction is the kiss of death for your team.

And, there is another thing Dubs fans have to look forwards too. If you do prove him wrong and win the title, his response will be to call your women fat.
