Well if ADR is the #1 contender it looks like Sheamus will retain. They should have Bryan weasel his way into a triple threat match or something. He has too much momentum right now for them to take him out of the picture.

rumor is they will have Bryan go down and chase the Intercontinental title, in this case they can switch him to face without hurting top talent. Also, could give some meaning and intrigue back into the IC title, which hasn't been there since the 90s.

I thought Mysterio and Jericho and Morrison did wonders for the Intercontinental Championship on SmackDown a few years ago. Unfortunately, they didn't keep up the momentum in the division when Mysterio and Jericho transitioned back into the main event.


I have a feeling you're right about them dropping Daniel Bryan down though. It could make for some good television, but I'd rather see him on RAW.

Bryan is entertaining, ADR is a bore fest. I don't know why they just wouldn't make Sheamus heel (as he is a terrible face) and make Bryan the face and then let these two continue their feud main event.

I think they killed Sheamus' chance at being a good face when they punked out the fans at WrestleMania. He was doing a good job, but you know the Daniel Bryan fans are going to take out their frustration out on him. As for Del Rio, he just hasn't had a good feud outside of Rey Mysterio. If that angle with Mysterio hadn't been so hot, they never would've elevated him to these main events like they did. And it's really a disservice, because Del Rio would do wonders for the way they book the Intercontinental Championship (short segments, not too many lengthy promos, reliance on quality matches).

You're right; ADR/Sheamus does nothing for me. I still think there's more mileage in Bryan as a heel though, but it should be on RAW with guys like Cena and Punk, or at the very least on SmackDown in a title feud with Orton.

Byran/Cena would be a nightmare for WWE. Cena would be heel in that feud. It would be similar to Punk/Cena over the Summer. WWE quickly bailed on that thing because they saw how the crowd was super hot for Punk.
