Obviously were sitting pretty good as is but win both these games on Friday/Saturday and that should real seal up the gap. Going to be tough games. Need to get momentum going at home!!

Since we technically only need to stay in front of 1 of the Kings/flames we really just can't lose both games. But winning both would be so huge.

Preferably, we win 4 out of our next 5, because those last three on the road? Let's just say I don't want to be in a position where we're hoping the opposing teams are resting their guys.

4/5 would be great on this homestand to build off for playoffs. Really though if we sweep this two gamer here were basically in. Would take an epic collapse.

Great game last night. I think it was the Colborne hit on Fontaine that got things going for the Wild in the 3rd. The kept re-playing the hit, and the crowd kept getting louder and louder, finally erupting in a chorus of boos directed at the refs and the Flames bench. Still can't believe a penalty wasn't called on that.

Interestingly enough, some stats:

Minnesota of course has a league best record since Jan. 15, but are also a league best at +44 in goal differential. NY Rangers are second, at +29. That's a HUGE difference in just over 3 months.

Insane that we actually caught the blackhawks for a brief moment. I still think they finish ahead of us but I didn't think we'd ever catch them even with games in haNd. We could be top 2 in the conference if we weren't so bad in December/January!! O well, getting hot at right time is what matters.

Still want us finishing 7th though. Passing Chicago gurantees we play in the central playoff pod.

Only bad thing is the stupid Preds lost last night.

Looking more and more likely we get the Blues first round. Fuck!!

Give me Nashville or Anaheim(preferred)!!!

Kuemper gets the start tonight. Yeo didn't want to play Dubnyk 3 games in 4 nights. He's earned the nigth off...

With a win tonight, the Wild would tie the Red Wings with the longest road winning streak (12). Quite an accomplishment.

Never want to nor will I "cheer" for a loss. But losing tonight is actually preferred.
