Ya even I'm not gonna defend that. You wanna put them in the middle of the pack based on "should be strong in the future", alright.

There are a couple teams in the bottom third I think are set up better than the Leafs are right now.

I understand Vesey thinking about Chicago because he'd obviously jump right in with a chance to win a Cup, but NYR and NJD seem odd to me.

I think NYR is definitely heading in a downward direction - their window is closed, IMO - and NJD seems to be in a bit of a holding pattern, ATM.
