Man Chia is entering Mike Milbury territory.

Chia has traded away: Joe Thornton, Phil Kessel, Tyler Seguin, and Taylor Hall. Now, he wasn't fleeced in all these moves of course, but holy molasses he has a thing with star talent. Hell, from the Kessel trade the Bruins got Seguin and Hamilton...whooooo were traded.

The only thing I could think of is that Chiarelli had Larsson #1 on his draft wish list when he took Dougie Hamilton that year. That's the ONLY thing that would make ANY sense to me.

Tyutin had an NMC. Johnson didn't. One less "have to protect" in the expansion draft. Likely the bigger factor than $200k.
