still trying to figure out why just telling you guys the reality of the situation is such a crime. inputting my opinion saying how every recruit we get sucks, or how our team sucks, our coahing staff sucks, etc is one thing, but im not doing that at all. im telling you guys what i know. just as you guys do when theres something u all know.

isnt that the point of this board?

Its not that you are putting your opinion, which we all do and encourage others to do, it is when guys start saying, this is a fact that we don't agree with unless you have an incredibly reliable source that you can prove with. Saying this IS going to happen a year from now is putting it out there a little too far and it takes credibility away from the statement. We all agree LT is likely gone if he has a good year but that is our opinions, not us saying its a fact and telling people this is how it is so deal with it kind of thing.

I meant my opinion on Boykin getting cut and on Logan leaving early.

Anyway I think the key to it all is the OL and WR situation. Logan is going to see what transition in those areas means this year. I will be very surprised if there's not at least a noticeable drop off in the O-line and WRs. Then he will be looking at a similar situation next year when his main protectors at OT leave and 4 out of the 5 top receivers leave. If Knowles looks really good in his, I assume, relatively limited opportunities as the 4th or 5th receiver and if Caleb looks good in the fall and the O-line performs fairly well, maybe he would have the confidence that things wouldn't be so bad in 2013. But even then I think that he won't consider coming back if he has a year similar to last year. If they are already talking about him being a 1st rounder then a performance close to last years won't drop him. He will be given a pass because everyone can see that he had a whole new offense around him. Look at how little Ryan Williams dropped after a bad year and an injury

Solid argument there. WRs this year won't be an issue. He seemed to click with Coles and Davis pretty well last year and Roberts has the experience. OL is the big ? mark. The biggest part of him coming back in 2014 or not is his comfort level and confidence after this season. If he is going through his reads properly and playing smart then I think he goes. If he struggles with his reads a little then that is what would make him stay because the NFL reads only get harder.

Yeah i can pretty much agree with all that. There are just a couple of things that you dont/cant take into effect. 1) injuries: Younger guys may be forced to step up at some point in time this year 2)Younger guys emerging: we havnt seen any of the new WR's yet someone could come in and shoot up the depth chart. (prob isnt going to happen but "you never know 3)The formation of new relationship/chemisty: we have no idea how LT will mesh with guys like stanford or caleb. Keep in mind Coles wasnt a starter last year but he and LT seemed to have chemistry.

All in all though i cant disagree with you because if LT is given an early grade he is most likely gone. (we need a dead horse smiley)

Foozball you ever going to answer my question from above or just keep trolling?

My bestfriend is a lawyer for Garvey, Shubert, and Barer. He works with a patent lawyer that makes, no joke, $700 an hour. Not even kidding. We all fucked up somewhere...

My brother is a patent lawyer. He would argue against it being stress free. Especially after a 3 week trip to Taiwan he had to take.

Jerry Jones after first day of rookie camp (Saturday)

"I liked the way those D-backs moved around today, and those are the things that really stand out," Jones said. "Of course, your offensive linemen got a lot of reps. (Ron) Leary didn't disappoint. I liked the way Leary moved out there. He's not my pet cat, but it sounds like it, and I did like the way he moved.

"And then I thought (Danny) Coale had a good day out there, and (James) Hanna caught some good balls. And then those quarterbacks threw the ball pretty good."

After day 2, sportswriter Rob Phillips tweeted this

Tough catch by Danny Coale over the middle in traffic. We've heard plenty about his hands.

Tom Ryle blogged this:

Danny Coale was drafted as a receiver. He is expected to compete for the No. 3 receiver spot. But he also has punting experience, which he showed the Cowboys with a punt in special teams practice on Saturday morning.

"I punted one today just to get it on film," Coale said. "It wasn't very good. We'll concentrate on receiver for right now, and if the time comes to add that, it can be a discussion for later."

one fan tweeted this after Day 2

Matt Johnson and Danny Coale
Can’t wait to see them tear up the NFC east and turn some heads

Another blogged

I'm on the Coale train
He has become this years pet cat for me. Also is nice to have a backup punter.

(love the coal train play on words)

another blogged

I am pulling for Coale as my pet cat.

and another

Coale is starting to warm me up guys! The Cowboys could have the possibility of serving “Hot Coale” to the NFC East and the NFL!

Damn, they do think big in Texas, don't they!!

So far, after two days, he seems like the fans darling coming out of rookie camp.

Lots of good comments about his character and charitable work with children too. They do love their heroes in Texas.

just found this one

Meal of the week for opposing D's -- "Hot Coale." Ultimate constipation cure for D-Coordinators since 2012.

i cant wait to see the "Coale Train" in action

I can hear them singing the Don Cornelius opening to Soul Train, relacing it with Coale Train.

An online dallas staff writer wrapped up minicamp with this to say about Coale

Danny Coale – He's had some good battles with Mario Butler, a first-year player who nearly made the 53-man roster a year ago and has been the best cornerback on the field with Claiborne out. Coale is a crisp route-runner with nice speed and quickness and he goes for every pass in his vicinity, coming up with most of them. A sure-handed player in college, Coale hasn't disappointed in that area. It'll be interesting to see how he fares against the likes of Claiborne, Brandon Carr, Orlando Scandrick and Mike Jenkins at training camp.

And lastly, there's this Ryan Thomas article on Bleacher Report, which places wayyyyyy to heavy expectations on Danny.

Jason Witten and Danny Coale Will Help Replace Laurent Robinson | Bleacher Report

Anybody know how much the new NFL Hokies are making? I know the Giants have signed Wilson and Hosely to four year deals, and I think Coale has yet to officially sign. Last time I checked, Wilson's terms weren't finalized, although he could get up to $3.3 million as a signing bonus based on his draft spot. Hosely's bonus is $515k I think. Not sure about Coale's.
