We are in a very similar position as last season. We got to 11-10 (3-6) before we made our run. So really, we are in a better position. Expectations make it feel worse. 3 winnable games to gain momentum for the Wisky in Lincoln. Maryland and Iowa coming back to earth. If we get our shit together like we did last season, @ OSU is the only game I see a definite loss.

But that's a big IF

I've moved on to Husker baseball. I've got a free night at the Marriott and looked at the remaining home basketball games hoping one would be a Fri/Sat night game and take the peeps. No such luck. I'll still watch their games, but I've accepted that they're not NCAA tournament quality.

If they finish in the top 6 of the Big 10 then they've got a chance. I just don't see that happening. The conference is down, but so is Nebraska when looking at their ugly non-con losses.

A loss at Michigan doesn't change anything.

I thought we had maybe a 5% chance at winning that game.

Tomorrow is a 50/50 game. If we show up like I think we will, we will be walking out of there with a nice road win.

Lost to Louisville by 13. Lost to St John's by 9.

Beat Western Kentucky, Franklin Pierce, UMBC, Georgia, Western Carolina, North Dakota, Southern, Seattle, Furman, and UNC Wilmington.

Lost to Ohio State in OT by 2......lost to Iowa by 2.

Louisville is kind of a stretch to compare to. I'll give you St. John's.....that's not a great loss at home. Still though, 9 points can be deceiving. Remember when we lost by 11 to Iowa and we were neck and neck with them down to the wire? Points are scored when you have to put teams on the foul line.

I know this team better than anyone. I follow Husker Basketball like I do Football.

Vegas has us at +8.5 right now. Nobody expects us to win this game.

As the season has gone on people have been paying less and less attention to the Huskers. When we were hot last year everyone was a fan.

The only bright side is I can probably get tickets to the NW game for free now, because we have a lot of fair weather fans.
