Illinois just beat Michigan State on the road.

That's 3 wins in a row over RPI top 50 teams.

They have games remaining against Michigan at home and Iowa on the road.

Suddenly Illinois has an opportunity to make a run for the tourney. Winning those last 2 would certainly make a pretty good case for them having 5 top 50 wins in a row.

Yep.....we dropped 2 spots in the RPI after that win.

Everything that needed to happen for us in terms of the bubble this weekend has went exactly the opposite. The only thing that really went well for us is the fact that we took care of our end of the deal.

It's not that Nebraska necessarily dropped. It's that teams that Nebraska needed to lose actually won and either jumped them or stayed ahead of them. Very little went Nebraska's way outside of PBA.

Whether we make the tourny or not I'm happy. Finishing in the top half of the B1G is huge for us. Especially since most picked us to finish last. We are playing with and beating the best in the conference and with a group of newcomers and 2nd year guys. Future is bright.

You mean a bye? I mean, technically a bye could almost hurt our resume as it gives us a worse chance to add another one to the win column. What it does do, however, is make us look really good and gives us a better chance to get to the semifinals.

It really won't matter as long as we beat Indiana on the road and Wisconsin at home.

Both would be quality wins, and the Wisconsin win would be as big of a win as anyone can really get at his point. They are #4 in the RPI right now.

If we win those 2 games, we are in. Lunardi said it......and I believe it.
