Calmer Than You Are
Two extra base hits already in the 1st against Minny. Pritchard with a solo HR to dead center, and Kelly with a double. Good start for Big Red
Back to back weekend sweeps. First time Nebraska has done that since March 2008. First time in conference since April 2006.
Next weekend series is against the worst team in the conference, Northwestern
THAT fuckin' scares me.
This is a pretty deceptive K-State team. They went to a Super Regional (?) last year and were a preseason top 25. I think they're a bit better than their record indicates. However.... they just got swept by Texas Tech, so... yeah.Huskers host Kansas St. at 6:35 PM (Central) on BTN
It's the last of three games scheduled with them (3/26 and 4/9) and Kansas St won the first two (12-6) and (10-6) respectively.
This is not a very good K. State team, and the two losses are part of the shake-your-head aspect of this Husker baseball team. They need to win this game at Hawks tonight to save some face.
Huskers have won 8 of their last 9 outings, and their remaining regular season schedule is quite favorable. If they can find some consistency a Regional is not out of the question.
Nebraska's quality wins this season include wins over #5 Oregon St (AZ), #6 Washington (AZ), @ Arkansas, and @ Wichita St.

No doubt. Also they need to win so I don't have to here the gloating of my neighbors for the next year.Oh yeah. they've certainly had worst losses than Kansas St.
Just saying they need to take this one and they have the talent to do it. 1-2 would take some of the sting off of 0-3 come selection time.
