This is the one thing that truly sucks for him. Vogelbach’s lack of mobility or any diversity in his game is always going to hurt but if he just had a little diversity he could play more taking time at say 3B or something.

The idea of Vogelbach playing 3B gives me nightmares.

Well ya, but I was just saying ideally baseball players have a little versatility. Besides the bullpen, this was an area that the roster construction was terrible. Though, I don’t think anyone could blame Jerry as it is what it is and it is highly nit picking complaining about it. But the 1B log jam with a bunch of guys who really can’t do anything else besides Healy can play a below average 3B and Bruce’s 2nd position has two everyday guys in Santana and Haniger playing.

I got your point, I was just trying a poor attempt at being funny.

There is definitely a log-jam right now, but I have to assume that if Vogelbach is in the team's long-term vision, he'd be the DH with Evan White being the 1B.

I would be surprised and disappointed if Encarnacion is still on the team at the end of the season and if Jay Bruce plays well enough to get trade interest, he'll be sent packing as well.

Perhaps all this wait and see tactics are working for Vogelbach. If only he could lose some weight to actually play defense

People are gonna argue the M’s have played bad teams so far (Boston is apparently suffering WS hangover).... but let’s not forget this team is supposed to be bad themselves.

I don’t know what’s going on but everyone is making Dipoto look like a genius so far with the guys he brought in.

Felix apparently suffered an illness that limited his outing tonight. Probably a good thing because the Royals have been blanked since.

Some fun stats:

1) M’s set MLB record with 32HR in first 12 games (top 9th still going)

2) From 2016-2018 the M’s had 2 5-HR games. 2019: 2 5-HR game thru 12 games.

Vogelbach drew 3 walks tonight. KC is obviously trying to pitch around him as they are trying to figure him out.

Never thought I’d see this with Vogey.

Hell of a game tonight. In spite of some occasional sloppy D, these guys bring it on with their stellar offense. Whether it's a fluke or not, I don't care, it's just FLAT OUT fun to watch these guys when they come to the plate. Even Vogey is doing a number these days. I'm gonna love this as long as it lasts!!

Servais somehow, someway managed to get Vogelbach, Encarnacion, and Bruce into the lineup tonight.

They all smashed the baseball out.

It won’t last but we’ll enjoy it while it’s fun. Because for it to last, this would have to be historic.

I'll tell ya what, I can't remember how long it's been since the M's have been on a roll like this. It's almost historic already. :pound::clap:

Yah. Definitely.

Scroll up couple posts above this one... it is already historic in a sense that they’ve already set MLB record with 32HRs thru 12 games.

I’m still very skeptical about all of this though.... they have to prove otherwise.

98 runs thru 12 games. Lol.
I remember the days they barely score 500 runs for entire season.

Yep, I think it's amazing what is happening. What's so strange is that I don't think ANYONE thought this season would start this way. I was prepared to just follow the team occasionally this season, but damn, I'm hooked now.....at least until and when the worm turns. :thumb:

After tonight’s game the M’s now average over 8 runs/game. They’ve scored less than 5 only once. Hard for opponents to beat you if you score like this. Also very evident by the fact they’re still winning despite having some horrible defense.

The defense did cost them couple games so they could easily be 12-0.
