LOL@ Jordan Lynch. Remember what happened last time he played a real defense?

15/41, 176 yards and an 18.2 QBR. 18.2.

Jordan Lynch is not in this discussion for the same reason Ohio State is not in the NC discussion.

LOL at thinking Ohio State isn't in the NC discussion. Don't be such a fucking dumbass.

until florida state or alabama lose, they really aren't.

So by your logic, every year, the only teams in the NC discussion are #1 and 2 when there are a few weeks left in the season, as there's never a chance a #1 or 2 can lose in the final weeks. Dumbshit.

Winstons stats are 185-261 70.9% 11.3 y/a 2943yds 28 td's 7 int rating is 195.6 rushing-58 att 155yds 3 td's. Winston accounted for 35.2% of their points and 59.1% of their yards.

Petty's - 153-234 65.4% 12.8y/a 3002yds 24td's 1 int rating 206.1 rushing-53 att 127yds 10td's. Petty accounted for 37.0% of baylors points and 50.8% of their yards.

Manziel- 200-276 72.5% 10.4 y/a 2867yds 26td's 8 int rating 185.0 rushing- 95 att 553yds 8 td's. Manziel accounted for 41.5% of their points and 59.2% of their yards.

Lynch- 190-290 65.5% 7.6y/a 2216yds 21 td's 5 int rating 150.2 rushing- 193 att 1273yds 15 td's.
Lynch accounted for 48.4% of teams points and 63.7% of their yards.

I cannot see how Jameis Winston is unanimous for the Heisman. Lynch and Manziel are by far more important to their team and Petty only has 1 int. I did not put Mariotta on here but he has zero interceptions. My only idea is that its affirmative action. That's fine cause they need it, even if its sports, but at least have the nerve to admit it.

This is not a stats award. It's mainly who looks the best when the chips are down and it's up to the player to bring his team through. Johnny Manziel did that time and time last year. Lynch is not going to win it playing for Northern Illinois.

RB Andre Williams of BC averaging 181.00 rushing ypg is having by far the best season for a RB since 2008 when you had both Kevin Smith of UCF (183.36) and Matt Forte of Tulane (177.25)

Williams has already run for 1810 in only 10 games so far

why isn't he getting Heisman love? Because BC isn't a contender and BC hasn't had an amazing win. they lost 48-34 to FSU and 24-14 to Clemson

For Manziel to have a chance at being given the Heisman, he would have had to beat Bama at aTm. That's how he won the Heisman last year, by beating Bama on the road.

the only legit Heisman contenders now are Winston and Petty, McCarron in third

Hmmm.....so, A&M and Baylor won the National Championship the last 2 years. That's news to Obama and the rest of us college football fans.

I don't remember either the Aggies or Bears contending for the NC when RGIII and Manziel won.

I wouldn't count Manziel out. He has 2 high profile games remaining to boost his standing.

where did I say anything about winning the NC? I said you have play for a contender or have an amazing win

RGIII had an amazing win over Oklahoma. Manziel had an amazing win over Bama last year. the only amazing win associated with the Aggies this year came when Auburn beat aTm in Kyle Field. Missouri and LSU aren't high profile enough to be amazing wins, it won't surprise anybody if aTm wins those two.

but yeah, I wouldn't count Manziel out. Winston, Petty, McCarron can all lose a game or get arrested or just quit football etc. Or Manziel could elevate his play and put up numbers that distance him from everybody by such a wide margin that you'd have to give it to him

FSU's drubbing of Clemson is probably the biggest reason why he's in the lead.

His heisman moment was probably his locker room speech. Leader of the team as a freshman, cocky, arrogant, backs it up.

How is he cocky when he constantly gives his teammates all the credit? Was he supposed to tell his team they were going to lose the game? You have no idea what you're talking about. :lame:

I think you're misinterpreting what I'm saying. There's a difference between confident and cocky.

I like it. I'm not knocking the guy.

He's a cocky sumbitch. Has nothing to do with whether he gives a good press conference and says all the right things to the media.

My point is, he was standing up there speaking to a bunch of upperclassmen and they were listening. Takes a cocky sumbitch to have the balls to do that.

I never understand the hate on smaller college guys. Lynch is having an UNREAL year and if you want to talk about level of competition then you need to look at the level of talent the guys he has on his team is too. Winston is chucking it to 5 star guys, being blocked for by 5 star guys. Manziel has the luxury of pretty much being able throw it anywhere within 5 yards of Mike Evans and its an instacatch. Petty has BURNERS on the outside and has a top notch running game and plays in a system designed for stats. Lynch does all his damage basically by himself and is surrounded by guys who arent at the same level as the other guys teammates. Not saying he should win but to discount him because of "level of competition" is ludicrous.

Ease up on the hyperbole.

Perfectly reasonable to take that into consideration.

speaking of minor conference guys, why do people care about Lynch so much? Lynch has 348.9 ypg of total offense. Derek Carr of Fresno St has 388.8. Garrett Gilbert of SMU has 405.7
