Arrests of high profile folks are often negotiated so they can turn themselves in without the dreaded 'perp walk' and it is not unusual for the prosecutor to have a press conference in a case with this type of notoriety.

That said, I don't think this case is going to result in charges. My guess is his witnesses have convinced the prosecutor that whatever went on was consensual.

The explanation of why the girl immediately called the cops and went to the hospital for examination will be interesting.

My guess is we will eventually find out everything in a civil trial.

Mr. Meggs does not allow people to surrender no matter who they are. He has them do the perp walk. That is fine by me they should be humiliated if that happens.

They now announced the time for Tim Jansen's presser. Today @ 7pm at the Hotel DUval foyer with Winston in attendance. The team plane leave at 7:45 pm for Charlotte.

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston has picked up two more individual awards from the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The ACC on Wednesday selected Winston as both its overall and offensive player of the year one day after he was picked as rookie of the year.

Pittsburgh defensive tackle Aaron Donald was voted the ACC's defensive player of the year.

Winston is the first redshirt freshman in the 61-year history of the league to win the overall award. He received 47 of 65 votes from members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association. Boston College running back Andre Williams had 13 votes, and Donald had four.

Winston.....I can't think of a player in the ACC that did more. His stats are off the chart esp considering he sat out most fourth quarters.

I just noticed that we set a record for most unique visitors ever yesterday on SportsHoopla and after doing some digging, it was because for some reason Google had this thread very high for the search term "Jameis Winston accuser victim." People were probably looking for pictures.

Winston hands down. He is a complete quarterback. Great from the pocket and will run when needed/necessary. Marshall appears to be more of runner 1st. I wouldn't feel too comfortable putting a game on his arm.
