Yep it's tried and true. There are lots of other meals you could substitute... but most people can't cook them and it gets expensive and confusing for them.
Salmon is great too.
The problem I had when I tried it the first time was that I craved carbs............
I wanted bread, noodles, things sech as that...............second time I tried it I just drank a bunch of water whenever I craved those things and made my stomach believe that it was full.
It worked.
