I mean...... most thee places I went fishing around north platte if ye casted out cut bait or chicken liver and ye didn't have a fish within 5-7 minutes- ye reeled in and casted again and ye would have a fish withing 5-7 minutes....


My brother called me last night said he caught 12 6-14 lb cats in the matter of 2 hours friday afternoon...

The Missouri River has been producing some fantastic fishing this year en sech.......

They say it's due to thee floods from last year and what not. Problem is the best fishing is up North where I is from. Most of ye are too far South to enjoy all the Walleye and Pike that are hitting right now.

Yes- That is if ye have a jon boat with trolling motor/ kyak or canoe....


Ye will not catch enough cat from shore to make it worth the 400 mile round trip... alot of the lakes the only place you can even fish from shore is the boat dock... some of them- like my favorite lake ye can't even fish from the boat dock cuz of submerged trees...




There is about 30 or 40 small lakes in lincoln county... pretty much all of them are very good lakes for 3-8 lb channels...


A few are really really good and three of them are within 10 miles of Maxwell..

My nephew just fished a tournament at Summit in Tekama the weekend before July 4th. Him and his partner caught 18 cat totaling 160 pounds. They won the tournament and he won largest.
