Every mother fucker who does what they can to stand on their own two fucking feet... Not some fucking slob or bitch on welfare taking my hard earned fucking money so they can pour down another or buy a pack of smokes and sit on a fucking sports board feeling sorry for themselves... all the while looking for bigger and better ways to get into the pocket of those of us who have earned what they have...

That’s who...

Actually BRS those are the people we are paying for now. Everyone has health insurance already. All they have to do is go to an emergency room and then the government is billed 3 times what it costs to go to a doctor or our medical costs are increased to include theirs.

And ERs are unable to take care of true emergencies because they are rubbing salve on some slob with a skin rash.

this way their insurance will demand they go to a private practice (or clinic I am hoping those who can not afford it will be required to be in a HMO) instead of an emergency room.

I agree it is a socialist policy but all socialist policies are not communist. And unfortunately all that can be done to ensure the ER crisis is addressed is to "require" everyone to have insurance.

Excellent point.

Like I said, you are fine with all those things but when it comes to medical care that's where you put your foot down. It's hilarious.

**And the sports board reference.... Idk where that came from.

I don't think a single person here is on welfare. This board is mostly made up of college students, people with desk jobs and your occasional rich 30 something. :noidea:

Oh, and the retired senior citizens brigade. :dhd:

Not sure what you are referencing (Sr. Citizen brigade) although I am closer to a Sr. then you…... but.. for what it’s worth… the problem I have is... and have always had is... entitlement attitudes...

It isn't that every man should get what he deserves, as in the old definition of justice. The new standard is egalitarian, that is, everyone should have free and equal access to all the goods and services produced by our economy...

You know someone realizes they're in over their head in a discussion about HC when they start conjuring up out of thin air theoretical stereotypes about people in need of medical care.

This is the point I stated... But according to one person herein who is inclined to do as he always does (drama queen)... lol, I was opening up Stalin’s grave... :)

I also agree that this is what is currently happening and this will not cure those woes....

The problem this will now create.. Unless addressed soon... employers will elect to take the penalty at 2000 to 3000 dollars per employee vs. pay their share of the policies of their employees.. Book market as many so uses the term...

the biggest issue with health care is that...well the way its used is fucked up. you don't use your Auto insurance for an oil change do you? you don't use your home insurance when you need to touch-up paint a scratch on the wall do you? so why do we use our health care for the little things? like a check up, or a cold....health care is just misused

There are catastrophic plans out there for those who want what you are saying. Health Insurance though is designed for those common and preventative care visits. Thus the reason for copays.

There are also maintenance plans out there that not only cover major repairs on your vehicle but also oil changes. It's all in what you buy.

Yep and if you hate the idea of insurance co-paying for simple check ups and having colds...

Let me tell you something a simple doctors visit costs a HELLUVA lot more than an oil change.

But no one is stopping you from electing to pay for your doctors visit entirely out of pocket. By all means chuck :dhd:.

Meh.. I am not a health care expert but this policy that was passed today was all wrong... and Brasky... you can shove the egotistical attitude you had with me earlier up your ass! The fact that this just makes the government bigger is a joke and the real goal should have been finding health care solutions that use free-market principles to reduce health care cost.

One point....

The health care bill was not passed today as it was passed 2 years ago in congress. The only thing that happenend today was that the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOUTS) said that it was not unconstituional to mandate it.
