I just wanted to comment (at the 11:11 mark of the 2nd) that the game was a doozy...noted that there wasn't a thread for the game...seemed ludicrous to chase down possible G-threads through 3 forums just to make one fucking comment.

Not sure about any other team; but just to let you know, AZ will have a game thread for every game. And AZ fans will always be on it during the game. Feel free to stop by and talk basketball!!!

I generally agree that game threads would be better in the general forums... they'd be easier to find, and less um.... "slanted." That being said, I don't think anybody had an issue with you asking about it. Speaking just for myself, I was just ragging on johnboy since he had his panties in a wad yet again (that seems to happen a lot) because the AZ guys wouldn't let him join in their reindeer games. I figured if he was that bent out of shape about it he could just start his own thread in the general discussion forum.

We just normally post game threads on our own forum because we talk about it in days leading up to the game. Anyone who wants to stop by is more than welcome. We are mostly made up of the AZ contingency from the ESPN boards, and we've discussed that we all miss talking during the game with other CBB fans. But john is a troll, and we pride ourselves on tearing them up when they bring useless garbage to the board. And some of us go to these general forums to talk ball with other fans. We just gather on our own board to have a consistent place to talk AZ ball.

In Oakland's defense they've played an insane schedule. Although IU creamed them in Assembly Hall on Tuesday and made them look like shit.

I would say that it has something to do with the fact that UK has 4 freshmen starting and one sophomore, and KU has 3 freshmen starting with a sophomore and a junior. And both teams have a completely new starting five this year.

And all of their losses came against currently ranked teams, either on the road in hostel environments, or at neutral sites in March-style settings. Those are tough games to win for a bunch of freshmen and sophomores who have never started a college game in their lives (all playing with each other). So, that might have something to do with it.

Toughest Conference NOT the B1G or ACC?

dunno...but one wonders.

watching the Texas @ UNC game tonight it occurred to me that the Big12 has a number of damn good teams...you expect #18 Kansas to be good (and they are), but they rank 6th in the conference @ 7-3 right now. #17 8-0 Iowa State, unranked? 10-1 Oklahoma (whose only loss was last month @ then #1 MSU), #7 10-1 Okie State, unranked? 10-1 Texas and #12 8-1 Baylor are all in the hunt.
