Woot woot thank goodness we are still pretty darn good in basketball.. 1-0 !! Especially since football season is officially screwed

all credit to Billy Donovan (Tom Izzo's clone...or viceyversy...both hit cbb at about the same time, have been wildly successful and have built elite cbb programs.)

Gator fans enjoy the luxury of heightened expectations from September through the following March every year. Not too many schools' fans can say the same.

Just ghosted current AP Top-25 rankings for both CFB and CBB. A total of 41 schools were listed; only 9 schools were listed in both rankings - Baylor, UCLA, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Oregon, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Louisville and Michigan State.

State plays IUP (#15 DivII) tonight, McNeese State on Friday...then all hell breaks loose next Tuesday night in Chicago.

this year's cbb couldn't start any finer...#1 Kentucky vs #2 Michigan State...on the same slate as #4 Duke vs #5 Kansas.

I'm with H2S....I'm very excited about the UK matchup with MSU. I don't think you could get much better than these two for a very early clash of topline bb teams. I'm not knocking Duke and Kansas either. Both should be great games for any sports fan to enjoy.

Of course I know that most people will pick Kansas and Sparty to cheer for. It's been abundantly stated on almost any sports forum that UK and Duke are two of the most hated teams in the country. Hey...not speaking for Dookie fans......but 99.7 % of all UK fans are knowledgeable and friendly people as witnessed by all the love sent our way!

v'been watching the Montevallo/UK game tonight...
Kentucky has so much fawking talent it's just sick...but
they're so young; they're still trying to figure themselves out as a team.
I'm glad MSU plays them early this season.

Plenty of talent, it's just young and unproven. I'd feel better about it overall if IU had a better coach, but it is what it is...
