Why is Daniel Nava not starting for Boston tonight?

I know he didn't start the other two games in Boston, but he was as big of a threat in St. Louis as Napoli. He's a good hitter and a real threat against right handed hitters.

I keep reading/hearing how the Red Sox are "just better" with Gomes in the lineup. I don't completely understand that but maybe his grit rubs off on guys when he's in there. Idk.

I would agree with that. About 1/3 of playoff baseball is luck and you could argue that the Cardinals had their lucky series against the Rangers. I actually thought the Cards matched up well in this park but Lester and Ortiz showed up in really impressive ways and it is what it is.
