I'm saying if Freddie hits a lazy flyball to center field, we were at the very least playing for a World Series. He struck out and went 4-20 during the series. When you get paid as much as he does, and when you're the face of the franchise, you're gonna get criticism, and you're gonna deserve it.

I've been through 2nd and 26 and 28-3, and that NLDS last season was harder to swallow than both of them.
One hit doesn't equate to us playing in the World Series, maybe we would have. But one hit and we advance, great. Freddie might still hit like shit in the NLCS and Folty might have continued to throw BP. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve criticism. But to blame him alone for us not advancing is ridiculous.

Losing to Auburn and all their voodoo magic shit is tougher for me.

I agree. Snit was shit in that series too and blew Game1 because he loves his boyfriend Luke Jackson too much.

Freddie blew Game 4

We lost a series we should have swept. Josh Tomlin should have not been pulled in game one. Mowing them down with ease, and then get replaced by Chris Martin who strains his pussy, so the next logical option was of course Luke Jackson.

But I don't have an issue with Folty starting game 5. Hindsight is 20-20, but I was in the stands for Game 2, and he was great. Best post season start for a Brave in a LONG time, it was even better than Soroka's start in game 3. There was no way to know what was gonna happen.

And go back to Game 5...It was 1-0 and Folty got the DP Ground ball he needed to get out of the inning and FREDDIE booted it

Snit follows Bobby's philosophy a little too closely. Problem is he doesn't have the greatest rotation of all time like Bobby did

It still pisses me off. That was a series we GAVE away. We had a good club and owned Th e Nationals all season. We also hit Scherzer and Strasburg better than anyone

We owned the Nats last year. Have no doubt we would have put them away. Put Freddie struck out and has deserved every bit of criticism he's got.

Yep. Errors happen. Great pitchers don't let errors bother them. They move on and get the next guy out. Folty let's a fart in the wind mess with him.

That was a hard pill to swallow for sure. 2018, we all knew we weren't really ready and had no delusions of standing a chance against the Dodgers, but last year was our best shot. We got worse in the starting rotation this year, and we're gonna miss Donaldson;s production, though I think we were still calling him 23 million after 60 games last season. It was either late May or early June when he really turned it on.

We'll agree to disagree. I think the Nats would've been won in 5 against us. He deserves criticism, we agree there, but lets not act like he is the only reason we didn't advance.

Helped us in the 2019 NLDS about as much as Brooks Conrad helped us in the 2010 NLDS.

The way we owned the Nats last year, if any team was winning in 5, it would have been us.

He wasn't the only reason, but he was a major reason.

So will Freddie have to hit a walk off grand slam in every elimination game from here on out to make up for it? Because we still didn't have the pitching to beat even the nationals (in my opinion), let alone the Stros.

Soroka was still a rookie and Folty had only pitched well for like a month. And our bullpen was garbage.

Same pitching staff we had all season when we owned them.

Freddie needs to just have a productive postseason series and not strike out with a runner on third with one out in a critical spot to make up for it. Until then, he's on the shit list.

The wheels have fell off in an inning every game against the Rays. Guess this is that inning tonight. Pretty sad when I'm confident in saying neither one of the rookie catchers we had before tonight would have made that throw a veteran catcher just made.
