13-5 doesn't mean anything given the league schedule they played. And on top of that they played a terrible OOC schedule and have one Q1 win. A win today MIGHT give them a chance to make it if they lost in the final

Yet beating Nebraska (who is not a tournament team) gives you a Q1 win.

Only if you beat them at Nebraska. Which is why the quadrant system makes sense. Nebraska hasn't beaten a top 120 team on the road or neutral court, so beating Nebraska at home/neutral shouldn't be considered the same as beating them at Nebraska.

Nebraska finishes 4th in the B1G and goes undefeated at home in conference and gets handed a 5 seed in the NIT and has to travel to Mississippi St. and will get no home games for the NIT???

Agreed, my guess would be Katz made significantly more money, which is why they let him go. In general I was pretty bummed with who they let go for CBB. I have basically no reason to go to espn.com for anything CBB related unless it's to look at scores. All the written stuff and podcasts I go to cbs sports. I love reading/listening to Gary Parrish.
