Based on the scenarios and how the tiebreakers work:

I would probably give the odds

85% Indiana
6% Maryland
4% Michigan State
3% Iowa
2% Wisconsin

Indiana still has to play two teams with a higher ranking and UW has the tiebraker over all the teams if Indiana Loses out and UW wins out. We still have Purdue though.

I said all along that we would need 11 wins, and now I feel comfortable posting it:

:lock1:

I'm also so happy for Greg Gard. No one deserved the job more than him. Our program is beyond blessed to go from 15 years of Bo to hopefully 20ish years of Gard. The future, both short-term and long-term, looks very bright.

Gophers have 4 players missing this game against Illinois because of suspension. lol. Let's see how bad the scrubs back ups are.

Ofcourse no one deserves the UW job more. He was the interim HC, lol.

I wouldn't count your chickens comparing him to Bo yet. A lot can happen when you are in a major conference like the Big Ten.

Wisconsin cannot win the #1 seed if Maryland beats Illinois at home....mathematically eliminated.

All I really care about is UW winning out, everything else is gravy. It's a long shot but with the way things have gone over the last month I wouldn't count on any game being an automatic W. That goes for the UW @ Minn game unless Minn decides to bench 3 of their best players again. Do you know what happened?

Suspended for violating team rules. 2 starters and back up PG. We are starting a true FR, walk-on PG...and winning. How fucking bad is Illinois?

Nobody is comparing him to BO in terms of resume since he just started. However, in terms of coaching the obvious style differences is he seems to be more flexible with playing the younger players and bench players and more apt to change up defenses or offensive schemes if something isn't working. In the short term it's working now but in the long term it remains to be seen. I think he's won the job and nobody has been more molded for this position or better for this position that's available than Gard who could win BIG coach of the year.

Well the only teams they've been able to beat within the last month and a half is Minn and Rutgers. If they can't beat Minn without 2 of their starters that could be their most embarrassing loss of the season.

How did they violate team rules? Late night party? Gang bang? lol jk

Yep, we were spoiled with the Packers in going from Favre to Rodgers and now Bo to double G. If the last 11 games are indicative of the future then this guy might even be more successful than Bo.

It's tough to even separate Bo from Gard. Everyone close to this program, especially Bo, felt Gard was at the core of Bo's success here. There's a reason Bo knew that giving Gard an audition would get him the job. Those who see him on a daily basis have absolute faith in him. And I do too.

Is that right? If all 5 teams finish 13-5 wouldn't Wisconsin have the best combined record vs the other 4 at 4-3??

Yes Badgers win all tiebreakers for the BIG 10 TITLE. LMAO with a bunch of freshmen and a new head coach mid season.

Barry Alvarez should hire Gard as the coach and get rid of the interim label. The guy learned his craft under Ryan the past 20 years. I've been impressed with the job he's done since taking over as head coach.

Also, Gard was the main recruiter and advocate for changing the offense twice in the last 3 seasons.

I believe they're just going through the normal requirements for a state job. March 8th is when GG could be named Head coach and possibly a boost in the BIG tourney.
