Anyone seen the video of the Ohio St. player slapping the floor while playing defense and then allowing the Nebraska player to drive to the rim? lmao

Saw it happen live. Luckily for OSU it didn't cost them the game. Plus I'm pretty sure it waa Tate that did it and I think he's already got a banged up shoulder. Real smart lol

haha, that's pretty embarrassing.
can't remember ever seeing another team have this happen to them, but...
at least once or twice per year, on an inbounds play under the basket - where a Spartan player has his back to the inbounder - the Spartan's butt will stop the inbound pass - which will be grabbed by the inbounder and put up for an easy (and humiliating) basket.
s'the damndest thing.

The Badgers definitely had their backs against the wall tonight, down 46-33 with 12 minutes left. They responded just like they did when their backs were against the wall this season: strongly. They went on a 28-4 run starting with 17 in a row.

That gets the Badgers to 9 B1G wins. Two more and we are likely in for year #18 in a row.

Robert Johnson was walking around campus today in a walking boot, not good. Him being out will make it hard to beat Illinois, let alone Iowa and Maryland.

That's a bummer man. Hate to see a kid get hurt especially this time in the season.

Do you know the injury though?

Walking boots are actually extremely precautionary sometimes for college hoops players.

Latest update is being called an ankle sprain and he's questionable for the Illinios game. Problem is IU is extremely stingy when it comes to releasing injury news. Blackmon was day to day with a knee sprain for about 2 weeks then it came out he was done for the year. Hopeful Johnson will be okay...
Just searched again, I guess it legitimately is a sprain...sweet. Indiana's Robert Johnson will be game-time decision Thursday at Illinois. Should he even try to play?

Yeah sounds like it's most a precaution to let it heal quickly. Would be good for you guys.

I know walking boots always make ya want to assume the worst lol, but many times are used just as a safe measure.

MSU @ OSU tonight 9:00pm Eastern ESPN MSU-7

v'been an Izzo guy since he was Jud's assistant...this year he's been way uncharacteristically (ie: publically) optimistic, upbeat about his squad...

“This team will go down, for me, as one of the least challenging off the court, in the classroom, in practice, and the most giving — concerned about each other, from the movies they all went to all summer and the dinners,” Izzo said. “That’s what their legacy will be. Now if they can top that with a heck of a run down the stretch here, they’ve got a chance to put themselves in their own little cloud and on top of it, instead of just being one of five or six. That’s why I’m excited about our chances. But I’m telling you, we’ve got a tough game tomorrow.”

nice, though, that he remembered what he was being interviewed for (Ohio State game) there at the end...:thumb:

LOL at the SEC, sure. But the PAC is, by many accounts, the 2nd best league top to bottom in the country. If you are solely looking for leagues with FF contenders, I'd say we end up 5th. Our 2nd worst team was 10-3 in the nonconference. This league has less cupcakes than any league not named the B12.

10th place Northwestern started the season 12-1, big deal. Both played cupcakes to get there. I'm just not buying the top end of the Pac, I can't see a team I'd expect in the Elite 8 outside maybe AZ (which is basically what you stated). Then again, it's such a wacky season that almost anything could happen.

You do this with the Packers too. Predict absurd blowouts when they play good teams. And when they win a few, start talking them up again.

God, you're nearly as irritating as Great Dayne hizzelf.

Welp, just stopped by to see what was up (same shit). Michigan State looks scary-good at times, and barring injuries (and reversing the logic of keeping Tum Tum on the bench for most of the game), I can't see anyone else in the league making a true NC run. Several solid teams that could play themselves into a Final Four, though.

Will be back to savor Iowa's/rmilia1's annual inflation and meltdown, for sure.

Huge opportunity for the Badgers tomorrow night @Iowa. Not saying I love our odds, but another top 5 road win would take us firmly out of the bubble, and probably put us on the 7 line.

Can't believe I'm defending ASU but they had the #17 ooc sos according to kenpom. So, no, they didn't go 10-3 just beating cupcakes. Northwestern? Yeah, no significant wins to speak of, best is a road win @ VT in OT

Northwestern's Non Conf. SOS is 334 out of 351. Terrible.
