I don't think Iowa wins tonight but I also think Iowa is better than middling in the B10. Probably 4th if I had to guess. Not sure yet on how good Purdue really is

MSU and MD are the real deal IMO. I think Purdue is the 3rd best team but I don't think there is much separation between the top 3. After that the B1G looks extremely mediocre. Iowa really hasn't done anything, lost to the two best teams they've played(beat WSU without 3 of better players). IU is 0-3 against real competition. Wisky lost to WIU and Milwaukee. NW has no good wins. The rest of the league is pretty awful.

Iowa may be the 4th best team, but IMO they aren't close to the top 3.

We shall see. Iowa has some decent wins in Marquette and FSU. Had the Dayton game won til the terrible call on Clemmons. I agree with you post I think. I'm just reserving judgement on Purdue til they play someone. Just tough to gauge if they're closer to MSU and Maryland or if they're closer to iowa. Pitt, Florida and New Mexico may all be fringe type tourney teams but they haven't played any locks yet

I'll agree Marquette was a good win. Not only are they a decent team IMO, beating them by that many is very impressive. I'd take Dayton and ND ahead of them, but ND only slightly. And I'll agree Purdue hasn't played the best schedule. But blowing out Pitt on the road and Florida on a neutral floor is impressive IMO. They are #3 in KenPom, not that that is the end all be all, but I just think they've been great thus far. Iowa is 18th in KenPom FWIW. Which is good in its own right. Anyway, finally good to get some good hoops discussion going on.

I'm the guy who said that you as a someone who claims to live in Minnesota and follow college hoops religiously....you should know the FOUR YEAR star player.

Your point? Trying to help my case that you are a lost cause?

Your still an asshole, and you'll probably be one for the rest of your life, you prolly got an asshole for a wife too. They made that song just for you. The Asshole song dedicated to Mr. Hockey

Hell yeah it is. As much as I love CFB it doesn't hold a candle to CBB for me

I still don't know how much of a threat Iowa is(i think you are right though that they are better than the middling team) in that they havent really beat anyone real good but their two losses are completely legit losses. Tonight will tells us a little bit.

Either way, I am grateful for them this year. MU is still a very shaky team but that Iowa blasting they took was a wake up call that the team can only have a chance to succeed a certain way, and weve played that style since.

Iowa St up 35-30 on Jarrod Uthoff at halftime. In related news other Hawkeyes have scored 19 in the first half. Lol

I'm still worried

Well that was the most insane first half ive ever seen from a player holy shit.

sloppy TO's have let ISU make a few little runs and end the half now with hope.

If Iowa ramps it back up though. Full time believer.

Saw this vs Oklahoma last year though. ISU makes big runs at home

I put our odds at 50-50 now.

Sucks to see Uthoff doing that the night after our awful loss because none of our guys besides Nigel know how to shoot. He's exactly what we need and his stupid girlfriend effed everything up.

(Should add obvious caveat about how we likely don't get Nigel if Uthoff stays and likely don't get back-to-back Final Fours. I shouldn't be complaining about the last couple years of Badger basketball.)
