any win over UNC is a good win, so...grats Badgers. :suds:

am noting that #3 Oklahoma, who has been ranked most of the year/playing in the country's toughest conference, is a 2-point UNDERDOG (????) to #7 MSU, who finally squeaked into the rankings in the last week of the season and was seriously considered a bubble team only 4 weeks ago. am enjoying the Sparty love though, even if it's bandwagon slobber. go green.

Having seen the Badgers against both teams, you guys are certainly playing better now than they were in Atlantis. Oklahoma does have games where they reach a huge ceiling, where they pass well and play intense defense. If you avoid them on one of those days, I expect Sparty to march on.

Hell, it would be pretty awesome to have two Final Four teams from the B1G after all the shit our conference has taken about "not having elite teams." Make it happen, Izzo, Bo, and company.

Maryland gets a commitment from Diamond Stone (#5 Overall recruit, #2 Center). Big get for them. With him and Trimble (if Melo stays, and he should), I think they'll be the B1G preseason favorite next year if Dekker goes pro.

As for us, it stinks to lose an elite recruit from Wisconsin who had us in the final two. He had been going to our big games the last two years and I really thought he would be won over by our team chemistry. He would have been great in Bo's system too, being a big guy who drills the three. It makes this year all the more real, as we will have a major hole next year at Center.

Look out for Sparty... Like I was saying.. Izzo has these guys believing and they are oiled and running like a machine. I wouldn't want to face them now.

Huge get for MD. Their front court next year will consist of Stone, Robert Carter(Ga Tech transfer) Damonte Dodd, and Michael Chevkosky(sp). This will be their starting line up:

PG: Memo Trimble
SG: Dion Wiley/Jared Nickens
SF: Jake Layman
PF: Robert Carter
C: Diamond Stone

That is easily the most talented starting 5 in the B1G next year.

As for Wisconsin this is a huge loss. Not only will they lose Kaminsky, Jackson, and Gasser, there is a good chance Dekker leaves too. Good chance 5 of the top 7 are gone leaving only Hayes and Koening for next year.

Duke will probably face them in the B1G/ACC challenge next season too. That will make for some early season high drama.

Weirdest Dance in memory for MSU.
Saying I'm surprised at the team's success thus far would be an absurd understatement...
saying I expect them to beat Louisville , then Duke/Gonz , then UK/Wis  would be absolutely ludicrous...

Madness.
Gawd, there's nothing like it!

Hope it happens as well and Badgers get revenge for 2000 FF semi-final.

If Wisconsin does not win it all, MSU is the next team I am pulling for. Always have liked Izzo.

My 2 takeaways from the tourney thusfar are:

1. Sam Decker is my new favorite college hoops player
2. If I ever pick a Tom Izzo team to exit the tourney prior to the sweet 16 again, I'm going to have to punch myself in the face.

Melo Trimble is returning for his sophomore season. MD is easily a top 5 team next year. They very well may run through the B1G next season like Wisconsin did this season.

what fun.
With 5-star McD'sAA Caleb Swanigan joining 5-star McD'sAA Deytona Davis, a couple of 4-star sharpshooters and WVA transfer Eron Harris, it seems that Tom Izzo already has a team for next year that is far more talented than the gang that just shocked the country earning a FF slot this year. Looks like Sparty's going to give Maryland a run for its B1G money. S'just possible too that, barring injuries, MSU might make a serious run for Izzo's long-overdue #2.
hot diggity dog! these are good years to be green.
