I really think he did. I think this lifestyle in the spotlight has fucked his head up so much, he wanted an out. There is no reason rich boy Manziel who comes from oil baron family needs $7,500 to buy rims. Daddy could write him a check.

On another note: This is ESPN breaking this story, I will wait until all facts come out to officially believe Manziel is done for.
And there's no reason why rich folks like the NCAA, TV companies, Texas A&M etc... can make MORE millions off of his name and he doesn't see a dime of it.

Johnny knew it was against the rules. This isn't some revolution bullshit, this is johnny manziel knowing full well the rules of the NCAA and knowing if he got caught he would be fucked. No need for a rich kid to put himself, his team, his program in jeopardy for $7,500 that his dad could have written him a check for.

Still waiting to see, someone else wrote this in reply thought it was interesting:
"So this is getting kind of ridiculous. Not saying he did or didn't do it, but several things that don't make sense here. This is another unnamed source, with an unseen video, that ESPN had the opportunity to buy to show the world and didn't, but was then allowed to "view", for which a guy filmed Johnny for 9 minutes that he somehow didn't know about from his phone, for which is a crime in Connecticut, signing autographs that he supposedly paid $7,500 for, of which there is no mention of in the video, by which he's essentially killing any value those autographs held by cutting short he career of an athlete he makes his living off of, for which he'll probably never get anyone else to sign autographs for him, for no reason. Does this makes sense to anyone?"

would be hilarious if this gets debunked and turns out ESPN has no story at all. Classic fail by ESPN.

And I would not forget how horribly ESPN covered the Adam James situation at Tech.

I can't imagine his program is in jeopardy. I wouldn't even be shocked if he plays much of the season. To me, this is a lot like the AJ Green jersey situation. I highly doubt A&M see any repercussions.

well it would make sense both bad with money, and allowing his hate of A&M to ruin any profits he might make.

Yes......it is an "upscale" form of slavery.

The players do all the work while the NCAA, EA Sports, Texas A&M and TV Companies make millions off of his name. Yes I know what the rules are but you're a dope if you justify a player not being able to make money off of his own name while others make millions.

Those Nits are playing for a possible NFL career. They don't need to participate or win Bowl games to get their talents recognized and achieve their goal.

He was laughed right off of campus... A better question is how the fuck was he allowed to put on a uniform at LSU. Dude is terrible.
