At least this is taking away headlines from Urban and the Buckeyes.

T&A&M will announce a two game suspension on September 15th to placate the NCAA. Therefore, Johnny F_ckoff will miss the SMU game and the Arkansas game. He will be back in time for Ole Miss and Auburn.

Lol:nod:

If he misses two games, then there goes the Heisman. But doesn't look like anything too serious.

Actually, if he did take money, this is the NCAA's fault to begin with.

They ruled he could get paid for all the Johnny Football Tshirts aggys were selling all year.......he had to "threaten" to sue (wink wink) and they would pay him a lump sum to sell the merchandise. He owns all the trademarks.

So yeah, THEY opened this can of worms........so IMO they're hypocrites and fools if they rule him ineligible.

He still gets the money. Either way, it's a nice legal way to pay a player via a booster that decides to violate the trademark.

Regardless, IMO the NCAA opened this can up when they allowed that. This is on them.

The whole jff is lame anyways. Some throwback nickname from an era where the game meant something to the players. It's a slap in the face of tradition. JFF is anything but old school. He is a new school beiber loving clown!!

What are the odds Manziel is ineligible?

As if the NCAA would give up a golden goose. But still - what a dumbshit.

Y! SPORTS

The network cited anonymous sources who witnessed the January 2013 signings that took place in South Florida but did not see the cash exchange. It also noted that online sales of signed Manziel photos show a lot of 999 sequentially numbered items. Industry insiders said that is a sign they were done in large bunches, and not just fans reselling items they coincidentally had the redshirt sophomore quarterback autograph.

The investigation began in June and whether the NCAA can verify the charge remains to be seen. Unnamed sources rarely cooperate with NCAA investigators, although the Association would have the ability to review all of Manziel's bank records where, even for a person from a family of means, a large sum of money (if deposited in a bank account) might stick out.

Based on past case precedent – which, when dealing with the inconsistent NCAA, could mean nothing – Manziel could be facing a five-game suspension if found guilty. That was the penalty given to a number of Ohio State players who exchanged memorabilia for tattoos and other gifts under the same NCAA rule in 2011.

If the NCAA uses the same time management they have with Da U, I'd say he gets ruled ineligible in 2018

The NCAA is so bi-polar when it comes to their rulings

they will hammer a USC but look they other way when it comes to Auburn....etc

^ Well, that's just it...are they going to play billy badass with J Football or be more 'understanding?' No method to their madness so we have to guess.
Making him sit 5 games would likely keep aTm from a SEC Chompianship possibility IMO.

We obviously it would be fair if he were suspended about the same amount of time as the Ohio State players who sold/traded their own belongings

but as said, NCAAs rulings rarely make sense in comparison to similar "violations"

a 5 game suspension would have him miss Rice, Sam Houston State, Alabama, SMU, and Arkansas

I'm guessing they could probably still beat Arkansas without him but not Bama. But yea a loss to Bama more then likely keeps them out of the SEC title game, as the chances of Bama losing 2 SEC games are very low unless some significant unexpected fall off happens
