The most amazing promo contest event that I heard was for a Arizona Diamondbacks contest from Shamrock Farms. The contestent had to guess the player to hit a grand slam in the game in order to win a million dollars. The lady guessed Jay Bell, yes little ole Jay Bell, and he actually hit a grand slam.....The guy kept fouling off pitch after pitch, balls he wouldn't even normally swing at and could of drawn a walk.....He knew that he was the grand slam contenstant so he fouled off about 5 or 6 pitches and finally got a pitch and hit the home run.....freaking amazing....

Shamrock Farms never ran the promo again though....

I made a bet in high school that if the Dallas Mavericks won two games in a row, I'd climb up on the salad bar and beat off on it. Keep in mind Dallas only won like 10 games that year and sucked profusely. Well guess what? They won two in a row. Thankfully my friends didn't want to see me get kicked out of school so they didn't make me.
