Probably only Huskers1217 remembers, but I'm butthurt about my team (well and all teams) leaving Tucson as their spring training home....

Well, my team (the Dbacks) are actually playing a couple of charity spring training games in town to benifit Christina Green (Dallas Greens granddaughter) and the other victims of the shootings a few weeks ago....

Class act by the Dbacks, White Sox, and the Dodgers.....

So anyway, tomorrow I shall be drinking beer, eating hot dogs, and watching spring training baseball and all will be right with the world....for a day at least....

Leaving Tucson.....actually done left.....

There are no teams that train in Tucson anymore.....they all moved to Phoenix area....

The White Sox were the first to leave about 3 or 4 years ago.....By them leaving it triggered clauses in the Rockies and the Dbacks contracts enabling them to break their contracts and leave as well.....

This spring the Rockies and Dbacks opened up a shared new facility on one of the Indian reservations up in Phoenix.....

Yes, I did more productive shit again today.....

I finally got my truck bed cover put back on.....

Long story short.....had to take it off, put it back on, but my socket set was stolen outta my truck, so only put it back on hand tight, went out to eat with family, forgot about tightening the bolts, cover blew off truck a couple days later, damaged, thought I would have to engineer a latch mechanism to replace the mechanism to secure the last panel, but looked at it today, and can just get by with the equivalent of duct tape.....ie bungy cords to secure the back panel.......

phew.....ain't ya glad I told the short story.....

With gas prices on the rise again, figured anything I can do to get another mile or two per gallon.....and it gets it out of my garage where it was just sitting along the wall.......
