Actually, we played very well against Texas, but they did not play like they were in the past several weeks... Some of it was because we played them well in the paint, but some... well, they were not on...

Yeah, I was thinkin' about that after I posted.....

I did only get to watch the last minute and a half since I don't have pnse3....

Basically, just as RA said.....if teams hit their 3's, Huskers are gonna have trouble.....

I seen that...

That shithead...

Nahh... I understand his point, although i do not agree with it.

I Love Nebraska Everything... But I do root for other teams... Like in the CWS I will go for underdog teams, kinda like te LSU squad now and then... also they have some nice looking gals... as well as Cal St Fullerton when i seen them play...

:D

Actually my point was still different than that though..........I wasn't saying you can't root for teams. I pull for underdogs all the time, especially in college football.

What I was saying was, as soon as you step over that boundary where you are buying another team's gear and cheering for them when they play the Huskers........you are in douchebagville :D

Nebraska is gonna beat KSU tonight. Why is this even a conversation?

Because Nebrasketball has a history of luring me in to hope and potential, only to rip my fucking heart out.

Let's not kid ourselves.........Kansas State has wayyyyyy more pure talent than we have. In that regard, we are completely outmatched.

We just happen to be the scrappiest, and one of the biggest teams in the league.........and because of these attributes, we are able to dominate on defense a lot. It's all about effort tonight.........how bad do they want it? We'll find out. If we want it bad enough we will hold Kansas State around 60 points or lower and we will win the game.

Look, if one of those LSU gals asked me to put a LSU hat on for a quickie... BAM!

No doubt in my mind! LOL :D

I would agree... They can kill a team with their 3 point shooting...
Let's hope Doc covered the basic... "Don't foul the three point shooters" as we did this a few times in the Texas game if I recall..

I was thinking about this.....at the time I was yelling at them for fouling like everyone else....

The foul late actually turned out good for the Huskers as he only made 2 of 3....Typically a good 3 point shooter is easy money at the line which is why you don't foul 3 point shooters....

I have not watched alot of the games because I'm out of the region, but when I have seen teams light us up is because they have wide open looks....The fact we were at least getting some pressure on the shots....and a couple bad fouls.....is it better to take a couple bad fouls to be more aggresive in defending the outside shots also?

Beranek, Jeter, Richardson, etc.........need to be flying around.......help out when the ball enters the middle of the court.......and be able to sprint out to the wings to get a hand in the shooter's face.

That's what we did so well against Texas, and that's why they had so much trouble getting open threes. We must do that tonight against Kansas State. We did not do that at all against them in Manhattan. Of course in Manhattan we were without Almeida so we required much more help from the perimeter defenders down low.

Problem is, is if you've got guys stretching to the perimeter to get a hand in the shooters face you're now exposed to opening up lanes in the paint and you're now out of your base defense and playing their game. Texas was cold from downtown and for some reason abandoned trying the lanes later in the game when their 3's weren't falling.

I'm just going to keep hope KSU isn't hot from the perimeter with their jumpers..

Yep, I bet that is a job to do... You are still in the Service correct?

no I am not, my wife is an AF Captain, who is training in NM while I'm working out of town and trying to get all the matters concerning moving and selling the house taken care of. I have seen her a total of 1 month out of this last year.

I don't know....I dvrd and rewatched the texas game and we absolutely blanketed Hamilton the entire day. I mean he forced up about 9 of his 11 three point attempts. Hell the article on Disney was even titled "Huskers defeat #2 longhorns as they bottle up Hamilton." :D

There is just no chance in hell these guys at this level are going to miss wide open threes all night. Hell even I could sit out there and drain threes if you left me wide open

Pullen won't be cold.....we'll have to bottle him up as well.....or we won't win......not a chance. They also have the white boy who always shoots lights out as well. I'm fishing right now so I can't look up his name :D
