I heard an interesting tidbit on my way home from work listening to the Bill Mack show.....

He was talking to and playing Kris Kristofferson songs....he was playing the songs recorded by the big stars, but interviewing Kris in between. I didn't catch who, but Kris was talking about someone big in the business that wanted him to drop the line "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose" because the it was too abstract.....LOL Kris is glad he didn't remove the line and so am I.....that first line of the chorus sets the entire tone of the song, IMO.

As much as I love Kris's songs, I honestly just don't care for his singing that much.....there, I said it.....Give me Janis Joplin or Roger Miller on this song any day.....Sorry Kris....I like some songs Kris sings, just not typically his hits that stars turned into major hit tunes. I think maybe it's just because he slows the songs down too much for me....

LOL at me providing an in depth opinion on Kris Kristofferson here that maybe only HH will read.... Actually there are a good amount of Huskers here that have some country music roots knowledge.....I'm impressed....

I honestly was shocked at how well we played tonight........I hate that we've lost some of the games that we have, but hell........if we go get a win at Oklahoma (this is very possible) and then somehow knock off Texas at home........we're right back in it.
