:/ sad.
my stepdad was a county attorney until recently

It is the damn truth..............my dad had millions of dollars worth of surgeries done on his leg, and it was all because the doctor fucked up the very first surgery which led to 20 more surgeries that were all unsuccessful.
My parents don't have money, so they had to take him to court. Well, that doctor had a very very very good lawyer...........and even though we had an easy case to make, we didn't win that lawsuit..........and it ruined our lives.
Meanwhile the doctor is sitting in his mansion in omaha with $50 million in the bank account.
what happened to him?

Lawyers are paid to lie to make a case for their client.................I mean it's plain and simple to see, they are paid to ruin people's lives.............it's not like they give a fuck about the person on the other side losing all their shit when they don't deserve to lose it.
I'm not trying to be a dick here, but obviously you had a lawyer as well. I'm not naive to believe the hands of justice work fairly or evenly at all times. I doubt your lawyer was being paid to lie in order to bring the case to court. It could be a complete and utter failure of the system that you lost the court case, but that doesn't mean the other lawyer was trying to ruin people's lives....
its like my soon to be ex wife likes to compare her brothers to me.
i grew up poor in minority schools where we were told college isn't for everyone and that if you work out of high school, you will make so much more money than the college folk since they aren't getting money for another 4 years. They grew up in the rich white school and their dad paid for their college and she wonders why I'm not as successful as them.
