But making a big deal out of a scrimmage that doesn't mean dick as it relates to next year is silly........

So let's say Maher kicks a 75 yard field goal in the scrimmage and makes it..............

To be honest, I used to say the same thing that you and Jed are saying..........but then I woke up and realized somethin........

When we watch the Spring game, we are seeing the same thing that the coaches are seeing in practice every day.........

If you're smart enough, you can watch that scrimmage and pick out the strengths and weaknesses of the team.........

If you're not smart enough, then you probably only care to go see the scrimmage just because of the atmosphere (tailgating en sech).

The only benifit of the spring scrimmage for the team is evaluating players in "game situations".......


in other words, seeing how well they remember what you taught them to do with out you reminding them before every play.

My point was that we are seeing players show their potential........just the same way that the coaches are seeing the players show their potential in practice.

I am smart enough to look at Jamal Turner and say "ok, that kid needs to be on the field in some capacity...."

Do I think the spring game is important for our team, yes.... it's important for them..... It's important for the coaches to evaluate how players react in game situations..... it's important for incoming freshman to see real crowd..... It's important for the scrubs to get some pt infront of people..... and sech



However, what the spring game has become at nebraska is just fucking ridiculous..... scalping tickets??? are you fucking kidding me??????? Planning weeks/months in advance?????
