Loss yesterday to the Reds, which ended up not setting us too far back as the Cubs also lost against the Brewers.
The Braves are really freaking good @Chewbaccer
With what I've seen from them and the Cards since the ASB, I won't be all that surprised if the Dodgers are not in the WS
Another loss, but this time the Cubs win, making the gap 2.5 games.
Hopefully today we can correct the ship.
Meanwhile, the Bravos are on a absolute tear...
Pretty bad day for the Dbacks.
Get jumped by the hot Brewers, and lose a game on the Cubs. Now 2.5 out of the WC slot, meanwhile the Brewers are just 2 games out.
Nationals won and their lead remains 2.5 games in control on the 1st WC slot.
that'll do it for the Red Sox slim chances
Brewers have the easiest schedule to close out the season for any NL contending club. They have a damn good shot at the second wildcard
Really need nothing worse than 2 of 3 from the Cards this weekend. Or have Washington go into a major slump.
Washington has the toughest remaining schedule, so it’s possible
Sucks for the Brew Crew now that Yelich is done.
Hate to see injuries like that...especially this time of year.
Yelich out for season after fracturing kneecap
Padres just literally walked off FTW in the 10th.
Cubs reliever (Cishek) gave up a 1 out single...and then he allowed b2b2b walks. The last one on 4 straight pitches w/ the bases loaded.
My Mets are now only 3 GB for the 2nd WC spot.
Things be gettin' tight.
Only 2 weeks & change to go.
Nats & Dbacks lost.
Brewers & Phils won.
Current WC standings:
1st WC: Nats +2.5
2nd WC: Cubs
Yelich done for the season, not as enthusiastic about the Brewers chances now.
How annoying this is becoming.
It will be Nationals vs. Cubs in the stupid wild card game. Make book on it.
Bold prediction time:
If the Braves and Cardinals meet in the NLDS, the winner of that series will win the NLCS
Dodgers going to end the Mets season this weekend.
Pretty sure LA is already thinking about resting some of their starters & everyday players to keep them fresh for the post season.
I think it'll more than likely come down to the Mets' final weekend series against Atlanta.
But we'll see.
FTR.....even if the doyers did manage to come in and sweep this weekend, the Mets will still have 13 to play...and depending what the few other teams in the WC hunt do in their own games the rest of the way, the mets would still have a legit shot to get that 2nd WC spot..but it would definitely make it more difficult.
If y’all are still alive, you know daddy will end all hope the final series of the season
