That was due to the losses after losing Bol. The last month was why they were favored in the first 2 rounds of the tournament.

Bad as me saying Baylor and Oklahoma didn't belong and would get killed.

Baylor and OU came out of a very tough conference.

Oregon and it's entire conference sucked all season. Washington, the regular season champ BARELY got into the Top 50 of the NET rankings and only did by beating up on all the Pac teams. Then Oregon only got in by beating them in their Conf tourney.


Wisconsin proved themselves all season playing and beating several Top 25 and Top 50 ranked teams. Only 1 out of 14 B1G teams fell out of the Top 100, at something like 107? At one time the Pac only had one team in the Top 60 or something like that with well over half the conf ranked outside of the Top 100.


Sure, in the record books it the NCAA tourney results are all that matters, and in a one game winner moves on format, all it takes is for a team to have their A game when their opponent struggles and a much inferior team can beat a better team.


My money will bet against the Pac in every game it plays this post season and as any gambler can tell you, you never win them all, but when you play the odds, you almost always come out ahead.
