How many times do we run Sobotka out there only for him to walk 2 or 3 and give up 2 or 3 runs? Minter doesn't have it right now and can't be trusted in high leverage situations. The ONLY people I remotely trust giving the ball to out of the pen right now are Wes Parsons and believe it or not Luke Jackson has been pretty darn good since opening day. Either send these guys down and put the kids out there or sign Kimbrel. Something needs to be done or this team isn't going anywhere.

Dan winkler was lights out the first half last season and then wore down. Hopefully he’s better conditioned now that he’s not coming off an injury

The interesting thing about picking up Kimbrel is if they sign him before June 1st they lose the 60th pick and over $1 mil in international money.

Still worth it because they need to be playing for now, not 5 years from now. But still interesting.

I'm not 100% sure how it works, but I think we get 2 first rounders since we didn't sign our first pick last year, and that means we get the 9th pick this year, and IIRC top 10 picks are qualifying offer protected. And if not, the MLB draft is the biggest crap shoot in sports anyways.

And as for the international money, we basically have none anyways due to Coppy's dirty dealings.

Yeah I never fully understand the rules. Either way, the bullpen is a major roadblock in the path to the playoffs. Need to pick him up. No legitimate excuse not to
