I was actually wondering the same thing. I could very easily see him flipping to Georgia. I also saw Saban came and visited him last week, which is horrifying.

The problem with him going to UGA is that they got the #1 QB from last year...Eason, and the #3 QB from this year's class...Fromm. I don't think he would want to sign up for that either. IMO, he is good enough to beat out both Eason and Fromm (I think Fromm could beat out Eason), but why even put yourself in that situation when there are several top 25 programs that would have much less competition at the QB position?

I could see Eason transferring, as I agree on Fromm. Eason is a good QB but he's not elite. I'm not really sure who would make the most sense. Hurts would have 2 more years left by the time Lawrence gets there. Maybe Tennessee? He might be the program savior they need.

Any QB transferring here would have some quality competition though, intimidate playing time wouldn't be guaranteed. Jarrett Guarantano is a RS Freshman and was 247's #1 dual-threat QB recruit, and is expected to be the starter next season. And then there are two other 4* QB's, who will be competing for the starting job as well. The QB battle is gonna be interesting.

Jarrett Guarantano, Bergen Catholic, Dual-Threat Quarterback
Sheriron Jones, Rancho Verde, Dual-Threat Quarterback
Quinten Dormady, Boerne, Pro-Style Quarterback

Penn State with their 2nd 5 star already. They might just have the best B1G class in 2018 after it's all said and done.

I doubt they will beat OSU and Michigan but you never know.

Them and Maryland have really increased their recruiting over the past couple years. Maybe Maryland might not be considered a Cake walk anymore.

Micah Parsons will be a Buckeye when all is said and done. PSU will finish 3rd in the B1G behind OSU and michigan.

I wouldn't mind having him on campus but I don't see it happening either. If he was to not stick with Clemson because of the competition, there's not much of a chance he'd want to come to Bama and have to compete with Hurts and Tua (who I think could be a lock to take over for Hurts).

SOURCES: Jeanty Receives Release, Seeking Transfer

Badgers just forced the #42 ranked ILB in 2016 off the team. He will now transfer to a Florida college. I'm guessing the combination of him being late to meetings and having 4 MLB's that are NFL caliber probably had something to do with this decision. Honestly, I feel like this helps us as we only have 10 scholarships available for next year. Our needs in 2018 will be CB, and SS/FS. Right now it looks like we already locked up 2 solid safeties and are favorites for three 3 star CB's and 2 are out of FL again.

Wow... Kansas just got four commits Saturday Feb 4... three of them from Louisiana including a couple 4-stars... that's right, the Jayhawks just received commits from the #'s 3, 5, and 15 ranked players from Louisiana.

2018 Top Louisiana Football Recruits

plus a QB from Texas:

Clayton Tune, Hebron, Pro-Style Quarterback

Congrats to the Jayhawks.

:susp:

I'm calling shenanigans on this. No fucking way that much talent all at once from LA would all go to a garbage program like KA without something fishy going on.

They hired a High School coachildren with a big reputation out of New Orleans. I highly doubt these guys stick, but it is still good publicity for Kansas

The biggest losers of all this has to be LSU. Not because they have a bad class but just the fact that Kansass stole so many out of their own state. We shall see if they stay or not.
