Opener series this Friday @ College of Charleston who made Regionals last season.

I've got high hopes for this team with lots of key returners.

Alvarado, Boldt, Burkamper, Chesnut, Dilday, Hohensee, Howell, Miller, Placzek, Schleppenbach, Schreiber.

Need to find a good replacement catcher for Lubach though.

Should be a tourney team.

Erstad's 5th year as HC with just one Regional appearance.

2016 should be a minimum 3rd place finish in the Big 10, and a trip to Regionals, or GTFO.

Nebraska only has five seniors and seven juniors on its current roster, but almost all of them are expected to play key roles this year.

Huskers didn't even crack the top 6 of the B1G preseason coaches poll. Not that it means a whole lot but they obviously know more than I do at this point about the rest of the league. I would think finishing out of the top 4 in the league would be a pretty big disappointment.

In my Homer opinion, there's no reason Nebraska should ever finish worse than 2nd in this conference. Nebraska has better facilities than 99% of the colleges in the B1G, even for baseball. You look at most of the stadiums in the conference and they're shit. High school teams play at nicer ballparks than some of these teams.

It's probably been stated on here before but Nebraska Baseball should make a regional at least every other year, if not every year. No excuses.

That is an old thought process that isn't necessarily true anymore. Nebraska has the biggest stadium but facilities across the conference have grown. The influx of money from the Big 10 network have allowed programs to funnel more money into baseball and it is showing.

Yeah. Nebraska's baseball stadium was one of the best in the early 2000's. Many others have caught up since then.

Still a nice facility, but leaps and bounds better than the rest? Not so much.

Nice road win yesterday over a decent opponent.

Clemson hired CoC's coach after last season and ended up losing at home to Maine 3-4 yesterday.

Huskers play again at 1:30 (CT) today. Would be a solid road series to win and start the season off nicely.
