Matt Barnes went to the Grizzlies.

So, the guy who use to protect Blake, is now the guy who will start taking his lunch money.

Honestly, the Lakers need to stay away from Cousins. He is another Dwight, great potential but a headcase.

They need to jump on Aldridge, First off, they wont have trade any assets away for him and still be able to get their guy at #2. Secondly, he is much better than Cousins although older. He is a more versatile player that could fit in almost any system.

If they get Aldridge I would be disappointed if they took Okafor as well. The Lakers need to get Russell. The way I feel about Russell is the guy could be a star or he could be an absolute flop, no in between. I am definitely leaning towards star. He is 6'5" with good length and underrated athleticism. He is a very good passer and good rebounder as well. Him and LA, with a healthy Kobe is very dangerous.

You might be right, but has Cousins even seen doubles yet. NO. No reason to double him with no other threats on the Kings. Dwight saw doubles left and right in Orlando. He averaged 22 and 14 at his peak on only 13 attempts, talk about efficient. He also got to the line 11 times a game. That is pretty dominant. He also is and was much better defensively than Cousins, although he is still very young.

Cousins has great potential, but lets see him go to a contending team, get doubled, and still put up good to great numbers before we say he is better than Dwight in his prime.

Dwight played defense and got his team to a division title within 3 seasons with probably a worse roster.

Cousins is a lazy crap defender who puts up gaudy cherry pick stats year after year for a perennial loser.
Once you put them on a team expected to win and play defense, they become a 16/8 guy instead of 25/13 guy.

Dwight was great in orlando, and part of that was because the team was filled with shooters who could make teams pay if they did try to double him. It was a good inside out attack the Kings don't have because they have no consistent outside threats. Also, I feel like him not having those other threats around him would be a good reason to double him because you're not worried about that 2nd guy or those shooters making you pay. And even though Dwight is obviously a better defender and Cousins might not get to that level, but he's been improving in that area.

Agree - Let's not forget how dominate Howard was back in Orlando and how his inside presence with defense and point blank dunks got the Magic to the finals in 2009. I don't remotely see how Cousins can be better than Dwight...

Cousins is indeed talented but he reminds me of a taller and wider version of a Stephen Marbury with his crazy tude plus team/coach killing ways... Pass the Vaseline Steph...!!

1. I'd say it's easier to win division titles in the East. Winning the Pacific now with the Warriors and Clippers is tougher than winning the Southeast in 07-08, the year Dwight first got them a division title(his 4th season).
2. Kevin Love was sent to a team to be the 3rd option, with one of those better options being the best player in the world. I don't know of many 3rd options who have put up 25/13.
3. Cousins might not make an all NBA defensive team anytime soon, but he is a better defender than you think.

Pretty hard to make the playoffs in the West with a shitty roster to play with. Boogie's a beast, not a cherry picker.

I find it kind of funny how often folks will say "a player can't win by himself" and then bash a very good to great player who is stuck on a bad team because he couldn't win by himself.
