And how does any of that change the fact that he is James bitch?
He's the one generating the money, I GET THAT, but he's also the one who doesn't NEED the money.
His other businesses are FAR more profitable then the Cavs.

Call me crazy, but in life, you're only as good as your word, and you should always stand by your principals and beliefs.

If it were ME, I could never backtrack on what I first said after James left, because what he wrote was HIS truth and his feelings.
I'd bust my ass trying to win the way he said he would or forever fail trying vs give that douche all the power just because he could generate me some extra cash that amounted to nothing for me in the scheme of it all.
Gilbert is levearging LeBron James being on the Cavs into hundreds of millions of dollars and possible immortality as the owner to break the streak in Cleveland.

If you call that being LeBron's bitch sign me up! lol...gotta let it go man....Gilbert has quite simply just been the BOSS with all he has done the last couple years.

so your mad at Gilbert for bringing LeBron back in the first place because he wrote an emotional letter like 3 hours after the decision?

lol...

dude...you gotta relax...your gonna give yourself a stroke.

I'm not mad at him at all.
I just don't agree with selling yourself out like he did unless you absolutely had to.

And, 3 hours turned into 4 years up on his team website, so take that shit somewhere else,

So the Heat lost to the Spurs because they didn't have Miller, Anthony or some future late round 1st round pick?
Ummm no. No matter who played the Spurs that year was going to lose, period. They were THAT good.

You'd have to think the Clippers and DeAndre would be viewed very negatively if this actually happened.

No argument from me there. I'm not saying that perspective would make sense.

I mean, we don't really know what LeBron thought of it then, or what he thinks of it now. I can just imagine a scenario where a player of his caliber is thinking "Wait a second... I'm all in. I've brought your team millions of dollars in revenue... I thought we were trying to get a championship... why are you making moves that look to me to be about saving money instead of about winning".

That sentiment might not be fair... but we all see things from our own perspective.

Maybe because that money saved isn't hurting the team at all and then can be invested much better moving forward.

I mean- its just for me to see it any other way. Look at the team he has. Look at his success the last couple years. He took the Cavs from the top of the lotto to the Finals- increased his net worth by billions and has the favorite to win the title this year.

This is not little Jimmy Dolan inhereiting his daddys money. This is a self made guy who built an NBA powerhouse overnight while making hundreds of millions doing it.

I dunno...I guess I find that impressive.

I cant remember anyone go back on a deal like that. That agent would lose a lot of trust- DeAndre could care less im sure.

Most likely, very slim possiblity it would happen. If he wanted to stay, he would have stayed lol

My curiosity is piqued to an all-time high... you've dropped little tidbits here and there... any more info you're willing to offer as to how you have such access to Heat players??

I don't have much access at all to most of the players.

I've been a STH holder for a long time though, so over the years you do get chances to be around all of the players through team events or player charity events, or an occasional private invite.

During those times, you often meet people who know people, or forge your own relationships with a player because of whatever reason draws you together.

I give him credit for how he made is money outside of basketball but basketball operational owner he isn't so bright. Cavs will be running in the red and they didn't win the championship. If he was smart he would of never lost home town guy in the 1st place. Cavs would of had a championship already. Now you bring back that home town guy (LBJ) and he older and is on the decline(compared to his early days). He also lucky that One of the best players is a Ohio guy. If LBJ wasn't from Ohio Cavs would have no chance.

The Cavs should have Steph too, he was born in the same hospital as Lebron :laugh3:
