To me the Heat still have big holes in regards to their big man depth, their 3 pt shooting and their wing defense......Winslow helps them get younger and more athletic- as does Whiteside of course...Dragic should help them push it and get easy buckets when pre-Dragic it was a miracle when the Heat scored in transition and got easy buckets.

You think your 4 bigs are that much better then Whiteside, Bosh, Bird and UD?
Why?

Assuming there is no foul trouble and Whiteide/Bosh are playing starters minutes, the bench guys can more then hold their own for 10-12 minutes.

I'd do that but I think it'll take Russell to pry Boogie out of Sacramento.

Unless, Mitch can do a Jedi mind trick on Vlade.

Mitch needs to be patient and not do this trade unless he gets exactly what he wants. Even if it means dragging out into the season. Imo, the longer the Kings hang on to Boogie, the lower the price gets.

1-They were without Horford, their main low post guy.

2-Carroll is a very good defender and once he was hurt, they were screwed.

Cavs weren't healthy either.
Maybe the pre all star break Hawks make it a winnable series, but not the Hawks we saw the last 6 weeks of the season.

Wiggy.
He thinks Mozgov, Love, Andy and Tristan are something special.
James makes them look good, but on their own merit, Whiteside destroys any of them.

Whiteside is a young stud, I'd love the Lakers to get him when he's a FA. He could be the best bargain in the NBA next season.

I think with all the work he's been putting in this summer that he's not planning to be a bargain for anyone.
He's looking to get paid, and he will.
He's a freak of nature if he keeps his head right.

He's even traveling with the Heat summer league team ( not playing),so he can get as much work in as possible.

Bird and Ud should be holding clipboards or being the club house cheerleaders like Marion and Miller were. Both guys showed last year they have next to nothing left in their tanks. I cant believe Haslem is even going to play another year. but- hell- keep getting them checks if you can....The guys played 19 minutes and 17 minutes respecitvely.

if you want to have any kind of chance advancing in the playoffs you are going to HAVE to upguard that. Its not like those 2 guys are going to get any better. Anderson is going to be 37 next week. Haslem will be 36 two days later......these are not the guys you want to throw against Thompson and Varejao in a series because while at one time these guys could play- each is at the end of the road and nothing proves that more than their play last year.

If that dude keeps his head straight, you guys really have something. Awesome that he's putting in that work. That's what I like about Clarkson, Randle and now apparently Russell. They're all already working (Randle and Clarkson apparently never stopped).

dude, Whiteside/Dragic/Wade triumverate got owned by the Celtics and Nets down the stretch- not exactly NBA royalty. Im interested in seeing how a point guard like Dragic that likes pushing the ball is going to mesh with Wade and Bosh who HATE pushing the ball and dont exactly love to run the court anymore (not that other older guys dont too). Or if Whtesidecan atsome point learnhow to play basketball

Whiteside ? in a playoff series? First- Whiteside cant play defense against a center that has even have decent footwork. HE can help and block shots but his individual defense- from what i saw was pretty pisspoor. Now its not like he cant getbetter- but cmon. The CAvs have 4 guys that are good nba players and most are either intheir prime, or not too far from it. Ill take Tristan Thompson any day over Whiteside. Love is of course the best big on the floor. Thompson has proven he can do it on a bigstage while Whiteside has only shown that he couldnt get his head on straight and played about 3 months of basketball since he got a second chance- andwhile I readily admit he put up good numbers ill take Tristan Thompson over him any day of the week since you know what your getting from Thompson every single time he laces em upand he is pretty damn good- then Whteside who you really dont know what you might get from night to night or whether he will even have his head in the game.

I'll take Kyrie if it's in the All Stsr game.
I'll take Dragic if I need a PG to direct an offense.

Kyrie is a better player then Dragic for any roster with James, but the Heat roster will be much better with Dragic then Kyrie because we already have a 2.
Kyrie is not a PG.

if you are the Lakers would you offer that guy all that money? You would risk- say next year- 15 million a year on that guy? The guy with those physical gifts that 30 NBA teams would not touch for years until the Heat did last year. The guy who when he finally got his second chance still acted up at times?

I mean- I agreee- the talent is potentially there to be a solid NBA center if he learns the game- but I think it would be risking a lot. Who knows how this guy responds once all that money is guaranteed. The guy is 26 years old. Its not like he is a rookie. If I were a team id probably spend my money elsewhere but we shall see. The Heat are lucky in that they have him this year for nothing and can really try and get the best read on him.
