The biggest thing I got out of everything that happened over the last year: Miami is a much more likeable team without Lebron. I can actually respect them now!
Not with the sleeze ball Riley running the show. Not for me. I also think Wade is a cry baby bitch.

Even if this dude ends up on my team (SPURS), I have truly grown tired of his act.

Obviously, if he signs in central texas:
I will root for him as a SPUR.
He will make the Spurs that much more of a title contender.
He will probably bring SA an extended window of contention with Kawahi.

But, when did Lamarcus Aldridge become the greatest player of our generation???

Good for Chicago getting Butler to that long term deal. They needed him. It looked in doubt for a little while- but the rule still holds true- no one who has ever been offered a max during their restricted year has turned it down....it simply does not happen.
I think that was all just media hype. I think Butler wanted the max and he got it. He also wanted a shot at the super max in a few years and the player option on the last year gives him a better opportunity. I think the Laker talk was just his agent attempting to get a three year deal so he can get a max deal when the cap is really ballooned.

He's just the greatest free agent this offseason. So he's going to get the most attention.

And why isn't he entitled to explore his earned FA options for as long as he needs?
It's not even 2 days yet.

Go down your bench name by name, and give me the list of players better then Beasley.
he would be the Cavs 5th big....and I mean- Lebron once in a while gets run as a small ball4- so in reality the 6th best big on the Cavs.

Can you read? He did not say anything about big. He said bench.

Beasley at this moment would be the Cavs 3rd best bench player....possibly 2nd

lol...dude...beasley would never get any playing time on the Cavs

i have no clue why you guys think he is any good. I mean- have you paid attention to his career or his stats the guy will be lucky just to have a job in the league this year.

I mean geezus...he was not even in the league until the Heat gave him a chance since Riley was criminally negligent when putting together the Heats big man depth. Do you realize how bad shooting 43% is for a power forward? like i said- i think its at best a 50/50 proposition anyone signs him- no one did last year.....the last time he got any serious run was 3 years ago with the Suns and he somehow shot 40.5% as a PF...thats freaking HARD to do.

You don't understand the greatness of Kyrie Irving. At his age......who has done what he has done? He's made the All Star team, been the AS MVP, won the skills challenge, has the greatest handles of all time for like EVER, EVER, EVER, and he's a great team player. He's not a team cancer or coach killer like people have said he is, he can shoot from outside, he can FLY, he can SEE through tall buildings (as well as leap tall buildings in a single bound), he can DO WHATEVER he damn well pleases, and he's a bargain!!!! What's not to like?

You need to give Wiggy some lessons. You just summed up everything he always says about Kyrie that takes him 10 extended paragraphs and sometimes as many as 3 posts in 1 standard paragraph. Well done sir.

The report down here is that Riley was already planning to go to L.A. on vacation.

Who, what, or where the meeting came from is still a mystery.
BUT, he's not meeting him for dinner, just to buy him dinner.
Something's up.

That's what I'm thinking. Riley isn't taking time out of his vacation to meet with Aldridge if he doesn't think he has a shot. For all intents and purposes, his work was done as soon as Wade agreed to a deal. This makes things interesting.

He wouldn't get playing time on the Heat right now, but that's not the point.
I'll bet you wish you'd of had him on the bench during the Finals vs the scrubs you had sitting there.

I honestly can't think of a better player in the league right now that can prob be signed for a veterans minimum.

At this point, he's gonna sign with the Lakers to play center. :L

He played done zone D center here last year because we were so depleted.
It actually helped spark a big comeback win vs someone because they had to start playing small ball.
I easily could see him on the Lakers this season.

geezus....it is getting a little dark there. None of these power forward scorers wants the responsibility of playing center and having to play defense every night....its a little said- but it is what it is in todays NBA....kinda why I thought the Caulie-Stein pick was nice for Sac. if they can just let DeMarcus play basically PF and score and board- he will be a lot happier.

Its hard finding a center that actually wants to play defense and guard the rim...they have value- guys like Tyson Chandler. Honestly- Hibbert wouldnt be bad on the 1 year deal. Whiteside- while I in no way think he is nearly as good as the Heat lemmings, he lets Bosh do what he does best and takes some pressure off Bosh.

Lakers need that guy- he doesnt have to be great- but just a guy that lets the other star know that he doesnt have to fight 300 lb's in the post. Mozgov is fine doing it for the Cavs and its not like he is overtly special.

maybe Lopez wouldnt be a terrible get if he only gets like 12-14 a year....which is an overpay but shit man- you gotta overpay to get anything done right now.

you think a roster of Wade, Bosh, Whiteside, Dragic, Winslow, McRoberts, Chalmers can take down the Cavs?

LeBron, Love, Irving, Thompson, Shumpert, Mozgov, Varejao, Delly?

I gotta see how each team finishes though. I think the Cavs will add one more significant rotation player. We shall see. I wouldnt be upset if it was Smith- but id be a lot happier if it was Ross or Ariza.
