They'll have excuse after excuse, but I swear to god if Ameer is suddenly a steel trap of a football protector I'm raising my middle finger as high as possible to 1. Bo Pelini, 2. Taylor Martinez for taking advantage of Bo having a giant hard on for him, and 3. Ameer Abdullah for not standing up and saying "this is bullshit, my arms are way to short to hold on to this bullshit ball".

The fumbling problem didn't start or end with him under Bo Pelini. It was magnified, sure.

Taylor led the nation 3 years in a row in fumbling the football.

Had Enunwa not stolen Tim Miles' Escalade and ran over Taylor's foot after the Wyoming game, he would have led the nation 4 years in a row.

In 2009 we had that one really weird game against Iowa State.....but I think it was just that, a really weird game.

Niles Paul fumbled the ball running wide open to the end zone for crying out loud.

I cried at that game

I stood in front of my TV with my mouth wide open literally catatonic for about 5 minutes when I realized what had just happened.

Not kidding.

We were still +5 in turnover margin that year.

I mean you can tell just by watching that video that it was a weird game. It was unreal.

I don't know if I could have cried. It's like when you lose a limb and you're in complete shock. All you can do is just go into shut down mode and become emotionally numb.

The last game I cried actual tears over was '08 VT. I think I realized right then and there that Bo Pelini was not a big game coach and we were never going to break through and be relevant ever again under him. He has yet to prove me wrong.

I cried 3 times over Husker Football games, and on the 3rd game my dad gave me a pretty stern talking to.

The first time was the 1994 Orange Bowl against Florida State.....I was 8 years old. The 2nd time was the 19-0 loss to Arizona State in 1996....I was 11. And then later that year we lost to Texas in the Big 12 Championship game, 37-27.......and I bursted into tears.

My dad gave me the talk then and there. I've never shed a tear since.

After the 1994 loss to FSU I actually ripped a handle off my dresser in my room.

I remember that did not go over well

I threw a piece of furniture off of our loft and it landed on and smashed a coffee table when we lost to TAMU under Solich. I think I was about 10.
