I have a brother in law who has down syndrome. Who I love more than words can describe.

My mother worked her entire life with children and adults with down syndrome.

I worked for years at camps for children and adults with down syndrome.

I too am sympathetic towards the disabled community. All during Jr High and High School I was an assistant to the handicap classes during my elective hour. Some of the coolest people on earth. We got to go to crazy good field trips and one of the kids actually beat me at lazer tag. He kept covering his sensor so no one could shoot him, and after the match I asked him if he knew that was wrong. He told me yeah he knew but who was gonna get mad at the slow kid. Those kids just want to have fun like everyone else. It is a shame that often they are mistreated by society.
