I'm torn on this one. On the one hand, if the Shmucks do win the cup, I gotta listen to friends, foe and family ramble on about this for years to come. On the other hand, if they do win the cup it "should" finally shut up the tin foil hat - family, friends and foe who are convinced that there's a league wide conspiracy that prevents them from ever winning the cup.

No Canadian team is ever going to win the cup again until the Canadiens admit they cheated in 93

Odds are at some point a Canadian fanbase will watch their team win the Stanley Cup and immediately become completely insufferable towards the rest of the country; at least if it's Vancouver, the rest of us will get a three hours break first thing every morning.

It's not like players from Canada haven't won a cup since 1993.

That's how it should be rivalries are rivalries. You don't jump on a band wagon because of where a team plays.

If the Sabres get the boot do you think I'm rooting for the Rangers because they are from NY?......nope.

Its the NHL not the Canadian VS American hockey league

There's still something to be said for national pride. I consider myself a die-hard U of M hockey fan, but if Ferris or LSSU ever made it to the Frozen Four and Red wasn't there, I would definitely be pulling for the Michigan team.
