Credit the Caps' D. Both teams didn't get tons of contributions from their later lines, but Niskanen, Orlov, Carlson, and Holtby bested their counters in this series. They were suffocating tonight.

With that said I am rooting for a Caps/Jets SCF.

Congrats to the Caps. Now I will half-heartedly root for the Golden Knights (though I kind of expect the Lightning to actually win) and focus on graduating before they kick me out.

I think the Caps played it really well. They had the structure to suffocate, and the skill to counterattack. The odd man rushes were decidedly lopsided towards the Caps.

I would root for Vegas if they made it but the Jets are really fun to watch.

With that said the NHL WANTS Vegas in the finals just image the shows pre-game that will go on.
