The highest seed the Niners are gonna get is 5th, and that's only if they win out & the Saints or Panthers lose 2 more.

The 6th seed goes to Seattle after the Wildcard round. Here's hoping that team is the Panthers...

Well, we need one of them to sweep the other. And then we have to run the table ourselves.

I thought about that, but if we are going to have to play the Seahawks anyway to make the Super Bowl, maybe it would be better to play them in the divisional round. They'll be coming off of a bye week and could be out of sync a little bit.

This, I would rather not travel from Detroit of Philly/Dallas to San Fran the back to NO. Would rather go to Seattle after their bye.

Not if Carolina could take care of 'em for us. It's a long shot, but it's the best one I can envision right now.

I have no problem going to Detroit or Dallas / Philly.

I'm old school, let someone else beat seattle for us... if not, so be it.

But of course we mustn't overlook the potential divisonal matchups...

Here's to Carolina sweeping NO... unlikely...

I'm actually hoping it's the other way around. I'm more confident a great defense can squeak out a win in Seattle than in the Saints' offense.

Didn't they come out of a bye tonight?

I'd actually like the Saints to go back. Sean and Drew are seething right now. That doesn't happen two games in a row. They might lose but it would be much closer.

Seriously. This team needs to get some swagger back. We can run with Seattle. Just have to have confidence.

I don't think it really matters from year to year … It always seems like a dog fight when our teams meet up… I expect the same …

How I look at it, it seems like we will play Det so I kind of want the 6th seed. 5th seed would put us against Philly or Dallas. I think we match up better with Det. Now yes 5th seed would give us a better rd 2 match up with Saints but I rather take on Seattle right away.

5th would be better because they could win a game or maybe two, but it would only delay the inevitable thrashing up in Seattle by a week, maybe two.

After watching last night's game, I'd think Carolina has a better chance to go into Seattle and win. Great defenses travel well. As for us, I think it'd be better to play them in our 2nd road game rather than our 3rd road playoff game. And I really do think we'd have a chance if Kaepernick can make better reads and not get so rattled, third time may be the charm. We can't put our defense in the position of having to worry about Lynch and Wilson throwing the ball, our offense would have to put pressure on them. And just because Seattle played well out of a bye this time around doesn't mean they'd do it in the playoffs, they may be rusty.
