I really liked KC as the best place for him to land as well.

It made too much sense. Great HC great def great run game crap division and most importantly

A small market middle America city that wouldn't have the media attempting to tear him down after every remark or facial expression he makes

The media ruined rg3 IMO the media is awful. I wish they would take a NE approach and just say FU to it all and give the bare minimum

when the race baiting card gets played its the beginning of a loser argument in my opinion especially when he turned down mentoring from DW .

anyone being fair can see he had no pocket presence , didnt study enough , didnt trust the plays enough , and couldnt protect himself enough

hopefully he took advantage of his time sitting and worked on the finer points of qb play randal cunningham had to go through this and he got better as a complete qb

Smdh. He just couldn't resist  Thought he'd learned by now there is NO winning on social media. Woulda been smarter to just say nothing.

Ah well, Cleveland's to deal with now.

Are you saying this tweet is in response to the article? I don't get the connection really....

If this tweet was in response to that article or not doesn't matter. The real issue is, this kid still hasn't realized that at some point he needs to STFU and just go handle his business. A huge part of the reason he failed in DC is because he was all to worried about RG3 the brand and not Robert Griffin the QB. Once again he is in a situation where he has a coach that is backing him, and he is once again busy spitting out shit like know your why. This year should be interesting. Because the quickest way to silence doubters is to go out and do what they are saying you cant. Cryptic messages on social media do nothing more than give him the attention he craves. But once again if he cant back up the shit he talks, whats the point??

I agree with a few others that this was a good article. It was well written and informative. This is the first time I have seen some of the gritty details of Robert's actions and Danny meddling. Of course, I realize we only have Shanahan's view of this, but it sure seems to make some sense as to why some acted as they did. Was race involved in RG3's failures? Well, that's an easy excuse, but that doesn't mean that it's not a factor. As others have pointed out, the failure of RG3 in DC lies mostly on RG3s shoulders. This town, the fan base, and the team as a whole was 100% behind RG3 after his first year. But by training camp, due to his offseason actions, his support had already started to dwindle.

At this point, I could care less about RG3. I don't wish him well, I don't hope he fails. He is a non entity to me at this point.......unless he is playing against the Redskins.

Sure he can, but you got to admit it sounds like blame shifting yet again when he comes out with these food for thought posts and such. I realized a while ago you sir are an RG3 fan. But the reality is, as i have said, the best way for him to prove the doubters wrong at this point is to shut up and go play. All this tweet says is once again... it was every one elses fault, not mine.

My opinion only and not saying I'm right, but based on the timing of it and the way it was worded, I'd say yes.

Yea maybe a little but I'm not sure I see how it ties in. Regardless, if it was about then yea dumb tweet if not who cares. I was just making sure you weren't making the case that just tweeting itself was the problem cuz I've seen people say that about athletes before which is...something.

And no I am not an rg3 fan. I was an rg3 fan. He doesn't play here anymore and he hasn't been our staying qb for a while now. I wish him luck but I really have no interest in the way the rest of his career goes.

Timing...yes. Worded? I can't even really tell what he is talking about. Please explain the analogy to me. I don't get it.

Speaking of RG3 though guys. I just read a funny quote from Hugh Jackson that I think covers it all:

""RG III doesn't have any accuracy issues," Jackson said. "The defense sometimes is in the right spot.""

LOL

The only people I see upset about my comments are RG3 fans. He was given multiple opportunities to refute what Reid said in this article. A simple it never happened from him or the team would have likely squashed the article or at least cast doubt on it. Instead we get no comment and another cryptic tweet.... So RG3.

Timing is the biggest reason I think it's related.

The wording can easily be interpreted as a snipe at Jason Reid which I honestly can't blame him for. That guy has been relentless with his 'sources' and non-stop Griffin articles to be considered objective about anything Griffin/Redskins related at this point.

This was definitely a pattern of his. Another reason I think the tweet was a response.

In the world today if your name is Manzeil, Jamarcus Russell or Robert Griffin you are going to be talked about .... especially if you fail. Sadly when you have 24 hour a day news on TV and radio you have a lot of people that do not know enough about sports to fill that time so you end up with things like this.

I will say it like this. If I were a hiring manager knowing that he had a habit of saying stupid shit on social media, I would have made it a condition of his contract that he is banned from social media period. And before you say well they cant do that. Players in Denver and Seattle are banned from smoking weed even though its legal. I said it before and I will say it again.. .RG3's issue wasnt Shanahan, its not the media... is his ego. And the idea of saying I hope he does well with the Browns from a Redskins fan is like saying, well I hope the chick I gave up everything for ends up happy with her new man after she left me broke and destitute.

Yep, that's why there's no benefit to say much if you are someone that people relentlessly follow in the news, imo
