In my view, as good as the Yankees were in the first half of this game, that's how as bad they've been now.

Good. Also, I was quite sure that I wasn't alone in despising McGarver.

except when they wheel out the announcer with the stroke.

I dunno, have you heard John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman? I still might take the stroke guy (I actually refer to him as the drunk guy, but I know who you speak of).

Same here.

I am a bit bias but Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez, and Ron Darling are a real good group to call a game. Keith is the weakest of the bunch but does have some entertaining throw-ins every once in a while.

Michael Kay is up there as one of the worst too in my opinion. It has nothing to do with it being the Yankees I just think he is terrible.

I just can't wait to watch more games. Only a hands count away.

Ron Darling was doing Nats games about 5 years ago, and he was awful. He was very timid, had issues conveying his thoughts, and was just brutal to listen to. I am amazed how far he has come since then. I watched a game with him last year and didn't realize it was him for a while. I never would have guessed that someone that was that bad could get so much better.

Speaking of the Nats, I thought Dibble was really good too.

There is just a lack of two sport athletes for him to bitch about.

I still remember when buck said that Derek Holland didn't have a very good pick off move in the 2011 World Series. :L

Speaking of the Nats, I thought Dibble was really good too.

I kind of liked him. He was plain spoken, though I thought he may challenge people to fights at any moment. I think he was just a little too over-the-top for most people's taste.

"With the count full, the pitcher will have to throw a strike here, because if he throwas a ball, he is in danger of walking the batter. I was talking to Derek Jeter the other day and he told me that he always looks for a strike on a full count. That way, he can narrow down his focus to the stirke zone. It is one of the reasons Jeter is such a cluch player and one of the best batters with the count full. He also told me that he loves tacos. I love tacos, too. Especially with guacamole. I know a lot of Mexican players." - Tim McCarver at a Padres vs Diamondbacks game

:burt:

We'll miss you Tim.
